Had to skip week ten, I was flustered over PP not liking my work! Getting closer to the playoffs and we have seen some teams step up (Johannesburg Jackals) and others step back (Rwanda Headhunters). Lion just got interesting with the surprise loss of the Rhino's, to which I ask, can someone post the Tie Breaker rules. I think it is points against or for which to me is odd because last time I checked PP lost to the Rhino's, again, yet remain in the top spot. Over in Elephant, 4 teams are looking at a chance at the one seed with only the GRiTs really having total control over their destiny. Should be a good end of season...
1) GRiTs (W) - All that stands in the way of taking the number one seed is a nasty homestretch where we can certainly lose to any one of the teams we play. With that, I am moving us to number one based on conference play and tournament play. If you want it, Come And Take It!
2) Windhoek White Rhinos (L) - Not sure what to say here, I know Goat is a top notch DC but this one surprises everyone in the league and keeps the Jackals playoff hopes alive. Not taking anything away from the Rhino's, but I just get the feeling Tricon decided to play Santa and X-Mas came early for the Jackals this season.
3) District 9 Prawns (W) - Nothing against the rest of the Lion, but first place now basically goes to a tiebreaker and for the life of me I don't understand how head to head is not the first criteria? Can we get a tester in here to see why this is!
4) Carthage Clash (W) - Hays has been very quiet these last few days and the results have been great, 7 points against in the last two games. Maybe silence is your better side, but in terms of teams these guys can certainly beat anybody. Plus, we need your brash arrogance around here...
5) Pirgos Warlords (W) - I keep saying to watch this team, they are loaded and are only getting better each game. They will be a team to beat in the playoffs, we just need Kylos to decide who's side he is really on!
6) Sons of Anubis (L) - Tough circumstances here for the Sons and I know from everyone in the league a heartfelt get well goes out to your daughter and your family. We may get heated in this game, but for most this is an escape from our daily routines and we need to keep what is important in front of us at all times. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family kmm227....
7) Nairobi Warthogs (L) - The number one seed or any chance was lost today to a surprising loss to the Punk led Warlords. I still don't have a clue on this team, some great wins followed by head scratching losses!
8) Sahara Storm (W) - A closer than expected win today where we are now getting to see the real Storm team. Not a 1 or 2 in Lion, but clearly a team with a great future in APL, unfortunately for you the future is not now!
9) Swaziland Dachshunds (W) - The roller coaster season continues with win, lose, win lose..If you keep that up it is losses to Pirgos followed by a win and then a loss to the GRiTs! I won't feel bad at all beating this team, I still think the title goes through them.
10) Kickin Djibouti (L) - A shout out to my boy Toriq who somehow held that beastly passing attack to 15 completions in 42 attempts! Granted those 15 went for 350 yards but a win is a win and another loss for Kickin has them in a playoff race which was totally unexpected. They could very easily win or lose 3 more games to close out the season.
Forbin, I hear you knocking but you can't come in...
