This is one way....another way would be to fix the stupid 1-season contract that is actually 1 season + 1 day...

Since when is a full season contract signed in the off season keep you on a team through day 1 of the NEXT season.....poor coding, imo.

I think the OP brings up a very good point. I do not agree with all his statements but young teams are figuring out that smaller rosters means more game XP.

Because this game was built from an RPG framework, and XP is a fundamental building block of RPGs. It's certainly an underutilized component of GLB though and serves little purpose as-is.

I would certainly like it if the XP for my defenders wasn't in the hands of opposing OCs.

"Hey, I'm going 5 wide this whole game, guess your LBs won't be getting those level 72 upgrades, Merry Christmas!"

I can see where this COULD be considered bad for Bort's business model, as reduced # teams means less income, but the income from players being created for teams to fill rosters will likely overwhelm the loss of teams being added/continued.

Managing a teams roster at lower levels becomes less of a pain to get max XP, more enjoyment for owner/agents due to more full teams being built in each league....more enjoyment, means likely more players being created.....
