That's an LOL script if you think those rankings are close to correct top to bottom.

Couple I doubt...

20 - 16 Baltimore Gulls def. Wood Village Whistle Pigs
*Don't care if the Gulls are boosted and the Pigs are not, the Pigs are a better team than their record indicates.

36 - 22 Chicago 85' Bears def. Boston Minutemen
*7-1 team loosing by 14 to a 4-3-1 team? Game will be much closer and lower scoring with a FG making the difference.

71 - 19 Nawlins Pugsimo def. The Agency
*While I agree with the outcome, I think the game will be a lot closer than that.

30 - 13 Short Bus Window Lickers def. Georgia Assault
*I think the score will be closer than that and think it's a toss up on who wins here IMO.

237 - 1 Deep Throw It def. Cameron Copperheads
*How do the Copperheads score 1 point against D-Tit?

Yeah, it's a GM script. Basically, the score predictor does something like this:
T1PF - Team 1 Average Points For
T1PA - Team 1 Average Points Against
T1OPF - Team 1's Opponents' Average Points For (on the season; not the same as T1PA)
T1OPA - Team 1's Opponents' Average Points Against (on the season, not the same as T1PF)
(same stuff for T2)

T1PF * T2PA * ( (T1OPA + T2OPF) / 2 ) / (T1OPA * T2OPF) = T1 Score
T2PF * T1PA * ( (T2OPA + T1OPF) / 2 ) / (T2OPA * T1OPF) = T2 Score

So it's basically pitting T1's offense against T2's defense, scaled by T1's offensive efficiency on the season and T2's defensive efficiency on the season.

The rankings script is based on garrettfoster's ranking script with a few tweaks and with some of the bugs fixed.

EDIT: and I make no claims of accuracy--that's why I'm testing the script right now in your league. I figure your league has a nice combination of parity and lolparity, so I can see where the weaknesses of the script are.

Official CFL Rules:

Single

Scored when the ball becomes dead in the possession of a team in its own goal area, or when the ball touches or crosses the dead-line, or side-line-in-goal, and touches the ground, a player, or some object beyond these lines as a result of the ball having been kicked from the field of play into the goal area by the scoring team. It is worth one point. This is different from a Safety (see above) in that team scored against receives possession of the ball after the score.
Officially, the single is called a rouge (French for "red") but is often referred to as a single. The exact derivation of the term is unknown but it has been thought that in early Canadian football, the scoring of a single was signalled with a red flag.

It looks like it's getting a lot of games wrong, but I've got to say that I'm impressed with its accuracy on the Copperheads game score.

hmm ...well lvl8 EQs could have some say in the upsets
