Well its mid way through and we are starting to get a better picture of what is going on and who can pull an upset in any match-up...
This week for Alpha we have a very young team in the Three Mile Island as they go on the road to face a team that is still very much underrated in my eyes, the Melbourne Marvels... A team in which has been a monkey on my back... This is our match-up:

Now we all know by now or at least should know that those bars mean pretty much jack shit! So lets see if we can't break this match up down some?
Melbourne Marvels
Melbourne comes into to the game with a 5 and 3 record with those 3 losses coming by some of the more dominate teams in the league and is also the only team so far to with in 20 points of Indy after their loss to EEA. The Marvels are lead by their Owner ZLM and his two man crew... Melbourne was last seasons Oceania AAA #2 Champs upsetting Indy in the Conference Title Game and is yet again looking to steal some thunder this season to any team unwary. Melbourne is currently leading Alpha in passing yards a game with 318..8 which is actually tied with the Taylor Bulldogs. The Marvels rushing attack is not as powerful or at least used as their passing game as they only average 141.3 a game which is still pretty good, but that number puts them at 14th overall in Alpha. Defensively speaking, Melbourne has been on point... This squad has only allowed 14.9 points a game! That is fourth in Alpha and and sixth in OPL!. Pretty impressive gents! Now this is just some of the highlights of this team, I will let you do your own research to figure out the rest!
Vs.
Three Mile Island Meltdowns
One of the youngest teams in OPL and should have a very bright future. Just like Melbourne, TMI are also last seasons league Champs of Oceania AAA #1 as they also upset some squads to win it all... Pretty ironic... TMI comes into this game with more to prove than Melbourne in my opinion as their strength of wins are just slightly lower... don't take that to heart! None the less this squad is a very good team and will put your ass to rest if you don't take them seriously. TMI has one of the better rushing attacks in the league coming in with an Alpha sixth placed rush yards a game average of 202.6 and their 20 TDs ties them with Melbourne for fifth in Alpha of their 25 TDs! One draw back with TMI is that they do have a bit of a fumbling problem in which they do lead Alpha in fumbling the ball and also in fumbles lost... this could be trouble if not careful! One "X Factor" for TMI may be their return game, as they have 7 punt returns for TDs which in my opinion is the best as Fiji that has 15 faced a CPU team in their opener. What ever way you look at it TMI has for sure some very strong points in their squad, but will it be enough?
Final Thoughts...
Looking at key wins and losses for both squad it looks like this:
Melbourne: Wins: EEA, Maori, and Death Dealers Losses: GCMM, Vipers, and Indy
TMI Wins: EEA Losses: Mad Cows(Zeta), Death Dealers, and Maori
I believe this game will be a lights out game, but knowing the fact that Melbourne has aloud just 3 TDs on the Ground and 5 in the Air will spell trouble all day long and will put TMI back a game in the playoff race.
