The idea all along was for teams to have to decide who to maintain equipment for. Teams that have gamed the system were doing so because rules like these were never put in place. Now top level teams will either have to play max level players with unfunded equipment OR they'll bring in backups who are behind starters by 8-10 levels but have full equipment. Either is a viable option and will lead to a better game.

The new rules don't go into effect until Season 15...don't think it will affect teams dropping down to take advantage of archetypes.

The new rules for stadium/fan support deterioration don't go into effect until Season 15. Teams that request demotion for season 15 WILL have their stadium and cash reset to the level they are moving to (unless moving to AA).

I like this

I like the idea but I dont think it is the right time to do it. Teams do it because everything is so freaking expensive and the financial part of the game needs to match up right for it to be more feasible. Until they fix the Costs in the game. This game as you move up with be like the Government in a huge financial mess and teams will go bankrupt and so on and so on.

And here I was going to farm my team till it had 200+ million then start fielding a competitive team.

So basically at this point why not lets go for the whole total reset on everything. Pee Wee and Cap 4 free for all next season with fresh stadiums for all. Tons of flex floating around to roll tons of archetypes.

Excellent. I think this is the smartest thing you have done since I have been playing the game. Not to mention the mods and admins are going to have a lot more free time on their hands now. And I think this will help the competitive aspect of the game too.
