I'm going to go out on a limb and say that if you don't understand archetypes, chances are it won't have any real consequence for you anyway.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=3768138 is a comprehensive lay out of all of it. Essentially, it changes the level gains for players to fit more with the specific role for that player, while also making it so that all players get similar gains at level ups.

basically changes to the way you create and build players

the Auto Level Gains and SA's mainly are the changes

Bort and Catch think they have all the kinks worked out/accounted for but we'll see
