No need to thank me, I love this kind of stuff. Being an engineer (not the train kind), I love stats and geeky math. I actually think it is pretty accurate by about this time of year. One of only 2 undefeated teams, The Hitmen, have a terrible SoS; the Eagles SoS is even worse with lower rated O and D. Until they play a few of the better teams, we won't know how good they are. It also boosts their stats (The Hitmen) so they are #1 in both offense and defense. In this case, I actually think the Hitmen are pretty damn good, and I don't think their 8-0 record is a fluke. I have no read yet on the Eagles until they play the MMM and/or the Krazees.

As for the MMM, you have a really high SoS, tied for the 2nd best record in the league (with a few other teams), the 2nd rated defense, and beat two of the 1 loss teams (the T-rex and the Krazees). Similarly for the Krazees, you have both your offense and defense rated in the top 7 in the league, have only one loss (to the MMM) and a high SoS. Once you both play the Eagles, we shall see the rankings sort out. Same goes for the Hitmen, we have to see what happens when they play the T-Rex, Farmington, and the Peewees. The Farmers are another team to watch out for, they are in the mix as well!!

Obviously, once the playoffs start, these rankings go right out the window due to boosting...

I am biased but I think Cambodia does deserve to be higher. Our two losses we outgained the opponent so luck has something to do with that.

I don't think KC should be that high

I don't put much stock in these rankings, but this one seems close. I am 8-0 but I also just played the three bottom teams in the east. After week 11 we'll have a better idea. By then I'll have played the Mafia and Krazees.

Very good points. I guess you're right (even though you're not the cool train kind of engineer).

I know you said not to thank you but we appreciate you doing it anyway. While they certainly aren't perfect they do give us something to read and talk about.

I'm curious what's the difference between the rankings - what does "Team Talent" include?

The script has the option to include the teams' scouting bar values (not sure if it is just the Overall # or all of them - I believe it is the overall number) and adds that value to the weight it gets from the game results. Doing so helps the script be a little more predictive in that typically the team with the better scouting bar wins.
