Warrior General Games

First of all I want to say that whenever I post these, they are never meant as an attack on another teams tactics and/or game-plans. It's pretty apparent that I am out of my depth from a competitive standpoint here. I would never tell someone how to run their team or game-plan. I am just trying to add a little fun to the World League. The last thread got out of hand. I don't want that to become a normal occurrence, just enjoy the recaps, have a larf and let's keep it positive.

Let's face it, neither of these teams belong in the World League. But both of them deserve props in their own weird ways. The Manila Warlords were bumped in the SEA playoffs last year but took promotion to the World League when the Louisiana Screaming Pelicans declined. They were the #8 seed in SEA and bumped the #1 seed and the #4/5 seed before losing. It took guts to accept promotion. They are the lowest seed to ever make the WL. My team, Sumatra, were the #7 seed in OPL and beat the #3, #2 and #1 seeds earn our way into the WL. We are the lowest seed to have ever earned their entry into the WL.

So the two Rocky Balboa's of the WL face off, this is the only time they had a chance to be featured in the game of the week. Plus it will be a short turn-around until week 8, so feel free to ignore.

The Warlords got the ball first and drove right through Sumatra's 'defense'. This tackle by Abe Koroma on 3rd and G at the 3 limited the damage to a FG:

Sumatra could do nothing (big surprise). Manila drives back after the punt and gets another FG by Rob Bironas:

The Sea Hawks actually pick up a first down, but still have to punt. The Warlords finally send their punter on the field when AJ Landry gets a sack on third down:

you guys aren't even close to the 2 worst WL teams ever. EBK, LOL, BDR, BFM (s12), Rosarica probably in that order as the worst ever. Tasmania gets some points for the lame mid-season gut as well (did someone else mid-season gut, I forget).

That was actually a pretty good game. Tough pick-6.

BDR won a game and had plow = not worst ever.

LOL = worst ever. they lost every game by more than 200 points.

It was nice to get a win up here

That's why I had them as 3rd worst ever behind EBK (who gutted pre-season), and LOL.

Yeah, don't get too down. Sumatra played ESL and Korb better than some others. That first win will come sooner or later.
