how come i am better ranked than last week even if i lost my first match? just trying to understand how the scrip works.

The rating system I use is based on more then just the SoS and win-losses. It is based on the "quality" of those wins, your offensive/defensive performances (adjusted to reduce the quality of play vs cpu teams), and the SoS of the teams you win/lose against as well. The number in the ()'s shows the internal calculated ratings as determined which predicts the probably of you winning a game. And for the most part, others lost there first game as well but by a much worse factor.

oh so me killing 2 CPU teams doesnt help me right? I dont think you should put up the power rankings just yet because i feel like a can beat a few teams higher then me very confidently

Right now I'm treating cpu teams as (any point you score counts as half, any point that they score on you counts as double) type of things. I'm working on trying to "adjust" it such that the deeper into the season you go, the less valuable a cpu game is. Such as

week 1, 2 = 1/2
week 3, 4 = 1/3
week 5, 6 = 1/4
etc ...

But I'm not there yet. Still tweaking the formulas from time to time.

The reason for the power ratings is because I thought it would be interesting. At least until I finish getting the "pass/run rankings" in place to replace the power ratings as that added degree of meaning.
