I'm too critical of my own talent as a DC to say we're number 1; Quito looks like a super team so they would be my pick. and Northsea looks very strong too. Hopefully Chesapeake stays in the mix for a top 3 as long as I don't screw it up for us!

Maybe. We'll see. If I had the cash I'd do what you did & just make an entire slow-build team roster between me & one other guy. Boosting, game-planning, player-building & recruiting would be completely handled & coordinated so easily. Definitely the way to go to be successful. Plus...with your experience doing the same in the World League, you'll no doubt have 2 WL squads in 3 seasons. But I'm not jealous or anything

For the record, the Northsea level 54 HB in Alpha has more yards and rushing TDs - as well as 4 of the top 10 receivers in Alpha conference. That would be an epic matchup.

Level 63 Ohm Eye and his 1.5 YPC was no match for my level 49 LBs

Now just imagine we had an OC and a DC and some scouts to actually help game plan....and some agents who could really focus on watching their dots and developing them instead of barely scraping up enough time to watch every other game because the Coach is busy managing other teams in the higher leagues....we might really amount to something
There are advantages to running a one man show, but believe me when I tell you that there are great advantages to having a team of great agents too. I think the very best teams consist of 4-5 core agents who really know their shit (and build all or most of the dots), and a separate OC and DC who can really focus on their tasks.

I'd agree with tautology except I would up the core agent number to no more than 8; no less than 5. 1 guy to make the O-line; 1 guy to make the D-line, 1 for 1/2 of the skill positions, another for the other half, 1 for LB corp, 1 for secondary, 1 for special teams, and 1 guy to fill in depth or special players (a speed TE or a catching FB, blitzers or gunners)

One tip for aspiring one-man show teams....
If you plan to have a run-first offense, make damn sure you make enough WRs to cover your needs.
MPHD is one of the more famous teams in the game but I have never been able to recruit a WR worth a damn because they didn't want to join the Johnny Tso machine

Also, making a full O-line is critical. If you have a good team and a great O-line it's not all that hard to recruit some HB/FB star talent...but getting quality O-line can be a real bitch.

How long did it take to get MPHD to World league? Chesapeake is still a ways off but I'm hoping within 2-3 seasons we'll be there.

We spent 2 seasons in A, 1 season in AA, 2 seasons in AAA, 2 seasons in Pro, then made WL in the first year they formed it...
