We won 48-0. My level 5 HB had 3 TDs, averaged 5.5 yards a carry. My level 4 K hit all his kicks, and had a tackle.

Man, we sure cheated by bringing in my ringers.

Maybe some teams recruited players with poor builds, have poor communication with their players with tactics, don't scout well, don't understand football well enough to gameplan, or are some or all of the above.

Maybe some teams got blown out because they deserved to be blown out, not because someone else did something underhanded.

Most of the players on our team were created at the very end of last season, and have been boosted for last season, boosted for this season. Very few exceptions.

Yeah.

Thus far, we've only been recruiting agents that have known each other for a while prior to being on this team... so most of our players were created last season for SFS, but a few of our stragglers (from CPU teams and elsewhere) that were w/in the level cap/range were also drafted.

From what I understand, the major blowouts (at least in Alpha) were with teams that had mostly humans vs mostly CPUs (that is, the 70+ ones). I have a feeling that this will change as the season progresses and more agents with players are able to be signed to those teams. (At least, I'd hope so.)

Yeah. We lost 77-0. We are trying to fill up our roster, but this is hard. We still have a lot of CPUs.

The teams with a lot of CPUs still will lose to the teams with complete human rosters, no matter what level the human players are.

Unfortunately that's pretty true. A lot of players also demand a starting position, eve n at level 1. You just have to find the team player kind of managers out there. It's hard, but the harder you search the easier it becomes to find one.

You have to pm players the right message. Admit up front you aren't giving them a large contract. It won't do them any good, other than buying equipment. State you want team players, who care more for the team winning than for their own stats. And then challenge them. Say if they want a team who's desire is to win, then they should join you. If they want money, then they should join the teams throwing out cash who won't have enough money to fill their roster.

Or something to that effect. It's what I did.

Some days you get them. Some days you don't. Today in particular appears to be
-very- high on demand. Don't stress it, don't break your pocket book. They're
just stats and very easy to duplicate, the smart ones will come to you.

Problem is, there are cheap ass owners out there who say this to lure you in, and promise you that they'll pay for your equipment, and over time, pay you competitively.

And break their promises, and try to guilt trip when you leave to go to a team that can do both.

I'll never sign with anyone that tries that approach again.

I was lucky to have my friend introduce me to this game, so I never had that happen to me. Didn't even realize people were that much of a snake. I guess my policy has always been to be completely up front.

Luckily we seem to have a lot of good owners in AA#2. I think we're all decent guys really trying to enjoy the game while being competitive.
