The 1/3 mark of the season is here!! Some power houses are emerging and some contenders are trying to break out of the pack and lock the Playoffs in their sights.

West
With the Hitmen sitting pretty at 5-0, they have only been tested by the Chaos, and with plenty of other good teams there, the Hitmen, still have plenty of tests to go.

The T-Rex lost a tough one to the Mafia, and I must be honest, I did have my doubts about this team, but they have really bounced back by beating some of the top teams in the West, Portland made it to the Conference Finals last season and you can bet they will aim to be there again.

East
There are two 5-0 teams in the East, the returning Mafia, and the Eagles, a team that has been breezing through the East, up until recently with that tough, hard fought game against Iowa.

Miyagis Mafia have never been known for their Offense, and with their DC from last season stepping down as head DC and passing the reigns, who knows what will happen with this team, knope still hasn't had a breakout game against a great team Offensively, how can he contain his Defense while trying to get his Offense on par with other high-end silver teams?

Anchorage is a one-man show, AKkidd runs the whole thing, some say that makes it easier, but at the end of the day it still comes down to the AI. Anchorage has a very easy schedule coming up, then they play the other top tier team in the East. That is definitely a matchup, many people have marked on their calendars.

P.S. Ya I was really bored and decided to just type away.

With 1 game dividing the top 8 in the East I think its hard to pick out which ones are truly dominate. All the losses in that group are to someone else in that group. (except Sandy who lost to the current #3 west team) That being said Mafia,Chi-Town, Iowa and the Eagles all still have three gimme games, (against Campo and the two CPU teams) where 14th street and Sandy have already played them and the Braves have played two of them. The Pinfish, PeeWee Hermans and Sacramento also still have to play the 3 gimme's as well and I'm thinking we'll see a lot of movement from them. There's only 5 wins between these 4 teams right now but I'm expecting to see two or maybe even three of them in the playoffs.

As for the west I have to confess I'm not watching it that close. (thou I do find myself pulling for Portland for some reason) I'm a non-boosting team which translates into losses in the playoffs. It also means I more than likely wont be playing against any of them.

This is the second or third time I've seen this mentioned so I thought I'd add my two cents. For me its been not only easier but more successful. Having full control of builds and tactics is great as a coordinator, but it also has two big negatives from my point of view. The first one being that it's just me. Not having someone stopping me from letting my focus drift over the coarse of the season or to double check my AI. I've made the same mistake that Camel made against me a couple times and its frustrating as hell. The second being I have WAY to many guys to boost. No boosting means no trophy's. So it depends on what you really want I think.

How was that for being bored and typing away!

nice write up knope.
the hitmen just got lucky with the way the schedule fell. the 2nd half will be a lot tougher for us and we have 3 or 4 games in a row that will be challenging. I'm pretty confident in saying we're probably the worst 5-0 team in Silver. Our OC and DC (Me) doesn't really know what he's doing.
Anyway good luck for the rest of the season everyone (except when you play the hitmen).

Ak-there's another negative to doing it all yourself that I'm dreading, and that's having to do all the lvl 8 equip upgrades.
