For example, will a strength DT be able to mentor a speed DT?

I always thought of Mentor as more of a guy who helps his position guys work harder, study more, etc. Not necessarily teach them how to do certain things. Since it affects vision and confidence, both of which are attributed to knowing more of what your opponent is going to do and how to stop it.

That. While the Speed DE won't help with bull rushing, he will be able to tell the Bull Rusher what to look for, when to do this and not to do that.

So a C STOP won't be able to mentor an OT STOP? I guess it might get a bit complex if the archetypes can affect it.

no a STOP will not be able to mentor a STOP - just positions, not archetypes for mentor.

Any chance it becomes 15% max? Not that I have a problem with getting my guys a 25% boost but it is a bit extreme at 25%..

Oh and if so then limiting the roster to say 50 becomes even easier for teams to cope with.

there is some discussion on changing it some - nothing concrete yet though.

Not really. If you limit the roster to 50, then there is no need to change it. Forces teams into tougher choices. Just going 50 roster limit, and 15% mentor doesn't change a damn thing IMO.

Kind of, but rosters are still too big, and changing both at the same time leads to less whining imo. Personally I would like to see 15% Mentor max and 45 man rosters as that is more than enough, but I doubt that happens.
