Dogs too high, imo (we have one of the lower effective levels in the conference... no idea how including talent moved us up 3 spots...) And Covington has the highest effective level, but it moved them down... Really now.

I thought we normally use the defense and offense ranking out of 32, not 16? Probably wrong but not sure.

The script put some kinda stupid rankings in there, so I moved things around.

Angola Blood Diamonds (4-0) A relatively easy opening stretch for ABD so far, facing off against one of the Lion CPUs and three of last season's AA3s, only one (Barcelona) with a AA playoff win last season, and all four with a combined 2-12 record in AAA so far (No disrespect intended to those AA3 squads - it's early in the season). Next week, things don't get any harder for ABD, with the nearly CPU ShadowChasers coming to town.

2 ........ 7 ........ 2 ........ 0.333 ........ Mayotte Metal Militia (4-0) The Metal Militia are riding a 24 game win streak, which includes a gold trophy from AA3 last season. Srs dotballin' here, and so far looks like as good a shot as anyone else for making the championship game. Likely an easy one next week, against a very young Deutschland Dööm team that just lost big to a team MMM rolled up 54 on two games ago.

3 ........ 6 ........ 5 ........ 0.333 ........ Ivory Coast Breakers (4-0) Solid wins over The Dead Presidents and last year's undefeated MaRawk!! o have to Breakers looking like contenders for the crown as well. Aside from MaRawk and the rebuilding ShadowChasers, all the teams that beat them last season have departed AAA2, so this could be their year. Next up is Barcelona.

4 ........ 10 ........ 4 ........ 0.500 ........ Kalahari Bushmen (4-0) A great start and last week's 29-28 win over MaRawk!!! o has Kalahari looking for real in '14. Alexandria, Covington and the Dead Presidents have all fallen to the Bushmen so far. After missing the playoffs last season, the Bushmen are strong in the hunt. After upsetting MaRawk!! o last week, the question remains - they've got to be feeling good. Next up: Santa Ana Swine Flu.

5 ........ 5 ........ 1 ........ 0.167 ........ Uganda Silverbacks (4-0) Second banana to MMM throughout AA3's regular season, but it looked like Uganda's boat was rocking during the off-season recruitment phase. The sexy one's front office leaked rumors of non-competitiveness in AAA, which as yet have proved ill founded and premature, as Uganda opened up with a win over a very tough Lion conference squad (Nairobi) and rolled over their first three Elephant opponents. Despite attempts to convince the rest of the league they're no good, I'm not buying it. Though if they want to start next game, I won't complain. Next up: The Dogs of War.

6 ........ 1 ........ 9 ........ 0.833 ........ MaRAWK!! o (2-2) After an undefeated regular season run in '13, MaRawk is sitting in the unfamiliar position of being 2-2. However, three of their first four were against other AAA vet teams, all playoff caliber, and while there are some tough games remaining, MaRawk appears as capable as anyone of making a run at the gold trophy. Next up: Covington Black Knights.

7 ........ 12 ........ 8 ........ 0.250 ........ Kilimanjaro Sting (2-2) Another vet AAA team with the potential to do some damage. Their comeback against MaRawk fell short, but more than demonstrated their potential to move the ball against the best teams. Next up: P-Town.

8 ........ 11 ........ 7 ........ 0.833 ........ The Dead Presidents (2-2) A strong AA3 team with tough losses to Ivory Coast and Kalahari, but also with victories over solid looking teams along the way. Possibly no roster turnover from last season, when TDP beat Uganda in the playoffs and gave a tough fight to the Metal Militia in the conference championship, this slowbuild team is only going to get better as the season wears on. Up next: Nigerian Nightmares.

9 ........ 9 ........ 6 ........ 0.500 ........ Dogs of War (3-1) The other slowbuild team in the conference, the Dogs went toe-to-toe with Mayotte two weeks ago -- for a half. The second half, the Dogs got shredded. With a quality week 1 win over a very strong looking Lion team (24-23 over Sterling), the Dogs have a shot at the playoffs, but will have to fight to earn it in a very tough field, moving into the buzzsaw part of the schedule next week. Without a playoff win last season, the Dogs will need to prove they belong. Next up: Uganda Silverbacks.

10 ........ 13 ........ 13 ........ 0.833 ........ Santa Ana Swine Flu (0-4) Thrown to the wolves the first four games, Santa Ana had to face Cybertron, ABD, Kilamanjaro and Ivory Coast. Not much time to breath next game either. An 0-4 hole makes the Swine Flu an outside shot at the playoffs, but they still may play the role of spoiler. Next up: Kalahari.

11 ........ 8 ........ 10 ........ 0.500 ........ Covington Black Knights (2-2) Covington looks to have some talent on the team, but are hamstrung by relatively low chemistry early in the season. After MaRawk!!! o next week, they've got a good chance to roll off some wins against newly promoted AA3 teams and let that chemistry move up. However, there's little room for error. Less than 5 wins in the next 6 games is going to make it very difficult to finish .500. Their next opponent isn't likely to give anything away. Next Up: MaRawk!! o

12 ........ 2 ........ 11 ........ 0.833 ........ Barcelona Blaze (1-3) A playoff team in AA3 last season, the Blaze have taken a pounding their last three games. With a week 1 win, a numerically better shot than the Swine Flu at the playoffs, but with a relatively thin human roster, they have an uphill climb ahead of them. Way uphill next week. Next up: Ivory Coast.

13 ........ 14 ........ 12 ........ 0.333 ........ Deutschland Dööm (2-2) Another AA3 team to advance without a playoff win, the Doom have the lowest average level in AAA2, and could have used another year to grow in AA. As for this seaosn, unfortunately for them, they've already played two of the teams lower on this list. Next up: Mayotte.

14 ........ 15 ........ 14 ........ 0.750 ........ Nigerian Nightmares (0-4) Some higher leveled players, but still one of the lowest avg. level teams in AAA2, and need time to mature. Avoided relegation in '13 -- they've got a good shot to pull it off again in '14. Next up: The Dead Presidents.

15 ........ 16 ........ 16 ........ 0.833 ........ P-Town Ballaz (0-4) The sole purpose of this team seems to be to get Dizzy Hammonds carries. At least it seemed that way last season. This season, a thin roster + relatively low effective level = not much P-Town can do. Oh, and low chemistry isn't helping any. Next up: Kilimanjaro Sting.

16 ........ 3 ........ 15 ........ 0.833 ........ Sahara ShadowChasers (1-3) What happened to the ShadowChasers? As best I can tell, head coach phthalatemagic went inactive, and they're just collecting ticket revenue with only 13 human players. HB (HULK) (BLAZING) is one of GLB's all time great dots. His presence alone might keep them from relegation. Next up: Angola Blood Diamonds.

Great write-up Arcade....We have been bringing over our slow build guys, so ABD is in a transition period. I realize we have had a very easy stretch so far....I put us around the 8th to 10th seed in the conference. We did have fun last night playing our arch rival from APL days.

You nailed it on the head man. Team is staying together thats a no brainer with this group. But do we add talent to assure staying in AAA? Or can we stay as is and squeak it out?
