Outside "Protector" for LT and "Line General" for Center.

My thoughts are
(1) Foundation
(2) Get Low
(3) Pancake or (3) Hold Block 5%

Note: What's the deal with Absorb Pain? Are you really going to play defense linemen constantly that are stronger than offensive line?

1) get low

1. Pancake
2. Get Low
3. Hands

let the Pass SA's be a demoralized and tired DL that has been flat and on their back during any running play.

I still haven't tried Hands and Pancake so perhaps I'm not the best to provide input here, but based on my C's and others I've seen:

1) LG
2) GL
3) Pancake
4) RB/Hands I guess..neither should be too high. I'd rather have 150's str, 90s blk, 80s agi, 70 spd, and high 60s vis/conf

When did the pancake SA become popular again? I see a lot of AEQ questions with advice given that pancake is the best piece.

My understanding was the build determines pancakes. I have a LT with over 1600 pancakes and 0 in pancake. I know I am usually going up against the weakest DLineman, but I still do better than most LTs.

Just wondering since the first few seasons, I heard a lot of, "pancake is worthless." The results of my LT seemed to bear that true. Was there a change or buff to the SA?

I have very few SAs on my guy, but I would guess just from reading the forums the last 7 seasons, it would be GL, Foundation, and hold block% (after the first 2 in the OP.)

I still question the effectiveness of Pancake too. My Center has always had jack in it, and he has been a pancake-whore.

After the specific Protector and Line General SAs for LT and C, I would rank the others:

1) Hold Block % (D-line guys have several options of AEQ and VAs that directly affect the Block roll and can be stacked. O-line guys only have Hold Block and Stone Wall VA.)
2) Get Low
3) Hands
4) Foundation (This would be slightly higher for LGs and OTs since they usually take on the quicker and more agile dots in pass-protection.)

I agree with PackMan97 though that the best strategy is to run over the D and wear them down.

I was thinking about what you guys said about hands and i realize that i never got a roll where "Hands" was a choice. I mean I have done plenty of roll with all my players and never once seen it. That's weird!

You can't get it in the AEQ store. They did that because it was initially a reducer for holding calls that were never put in the game. It was worthless until it was overhauled a while back.

I have quite a bit in cut block but don't think it has ever helped. Has anyone seen any good out of it?

I'm not sure when Pack changed his mind but after playing with a couple players the past two or three years that had high Pancake SA and seeing the difference it made compared to teammates in the same position, it appeared to make a difference to me. *shrug* Not hard evidence but it was good enough to convert me.

i think the hit on pancake is the argument that... when you go up against a beast of a D-lineman, you're not pancaking him with or without pancake. You're just increasing pancakes against weaker linemen you'd be pancaking anyway.
