Just wondering who has the highest punting attribute rating on GLB.

Mine is currently at 80, with 1 piece of Level 16 equipment left (punter is level 16).

Anyone else?

I'm sitting at 84 with room to improve once I adjust equipment but I'm sure there's better.

I just have to say that punting must need a ton of work(In GLB). With stats like that and you are only averaging 33 yds per punt? Plus previous years the average is in the upper 20's only?

My noob punter is the laughing stock of my team because I averaged 25 yds per punt the first game. People are thinking of NFL punters that stick people at the 1 yard line and hit booming punts that go 60 yards and stay in the air for 10 minutes, but in this game the punting seems to be pretty basic right now.

It is BETA, and punting isn't exactly the most exciting part of football, so it is probably pretty low on the importance list.

Anyone know if that is accurate, or is there a punter out there that puts up NFL numbers? I don't think so, because the game doesnt keep track of stats like punts inside the 20, hang time and etc.

What about the touchbacks? How do you get the ball to fall somewhere between the 20 and end zone? Lot's of touchbacks are over-kicked by just 1 yard. Does strength help accuracy? Also, how come nobody else averages very high on punts?

What's the longest punt you guys have gotten? I busted out a 52 yard punt and now I'm really happy with myself.

Im a noob punter, so 30 something is as far as I have booted one. You have a pretty nice average and looks like it is going up...you got something good going on there. Do you have a lot in "punting"?

I booted one 47 yards that was downed at the 2.5 yard line. Those are the kicks that can change a game.

I had a 55.5 a couple games back, it was touchback though.

Punt by Jason-Tyler Blackford, 53 yd, fielded by Krush Thomas (no return)

I'll be honest, I don't think Punting plays as big a role as everyone thinks. 90 punting is great and all, but when your strength is 10 and your averaging 30 yards a punt, maybe you need to rethink your strategy?

I average 41 yards a punt this season so far...

Strength: 58
Punting: 60

Special Abilities: 4-4-4

It's not about jacking up one ability to 100 and see who gets there first...its about mixing. A WR with 80 speed and 25 agility is going to suck at turning, no matter how fast he is.

I saw a guy punt a 60 yarder on here. Yeah, Strength is VERY IMPORTANT TO A P. It doesn't matter how accurate you are if you can't boot the ball 35 yards down the field.

This is a very helpful post. So, are you sticking punts inside the 20? Or, are you booting the ball long distances and the touchbacks are bringing your average down to 41?
