PARIS - Quarterback Jake "ManningKiller" Plummer is convinced the Paris Penguins will get their first win of the season on Thursday, when they visit the Birmingham Billy Goats.
Plummer is so sure of it that he has guaranteed a victory for the Penguins.
"We have nothing else to say - we are going to win the football game," he said.
That might be bulletin board fodder for the Billy Goats, who are well rested.

LONDON - Fullback of the Chelsea Cardinals, Jason Holt, found some humor in Plummer's publicized remarks. "He think he's Joe Namath now? If he starts wearing fur coats and panty hose, it might get REAL ugly on the Paris sideline."

Jason was much more tight lipped about his own coming matchup with the Bay Area Invaders. "I'm just going to go play football. Maybe hit some people in the mouth. You know... The usual."
