Lion - Round 1
Ironton defeats Houston - Squash. Ironton has their eyes set on Wallachia in the finals but mustn't overlook the Uganda in the next round.
Wallachia defeats Johannesburg - Somewhat of a surprise considering Johannesburg has improved over the season. It must be noted that the Wamphyrii D held the conference MVP Littleton to <50% completion, 4 ints and 0 points in two games.
Uganda over Lux - Uganda is quietly playing some excellent dotball but they have a big task ahead
Serengeti upsets Le Thor - The Devil Bats late season swoon continued as the Wildebeest convincingly whipped the 3rd seed.
Elephant -
Darfur destroys Blood Bowl - Move along...nothing new here
Kazan whips Abbotsford - That game should not have been a blowout....kudos to Kazan's coordinators
Appalachicola squeaks by Bangkok - The Barebacks almost pull off the upset of the season
Fat Jaws beats Bamako - The Badness take care of business
Round 2
Ironton vs Uganda - The Stink Apes are not to be taken lightly. Wallachia has played Ironton to their closest game this season but who played them closest after that? That's right....Uganda. While the outcome of this one shouldn't be in doubt, if Ironton is looking ahead to Wallachia, the smelly apes could make it interesting. I'm thinking Ironton takes care of business 48-13
Wallachia vs Serengeti - The top two rushing offenses in Lion square off in what could be a ball control battle. The Wamphyrii seem to be clicking on all cylinders but some late season moves by the Wildebeest as well as their beatdown of the Bats indicates that Wallachia has more to fear by overlooking their opponent than the Tanks. 4000 yard rusher Jim Brown was held to 63 yards and 29 carries in the first game vs the Wamphyrii while the 4 Horseman of Wallachia combined for 462 yards rushing and a 9.6 ypc average. This one probably won't be a runaway but since I know for a fact that Wallachia is not gonna overlook the Wildebeest, I think Wallachia wins 45-20.
Darfur vs Kazan - I like Kazan but Darfur started strong and finished stronger. While it wouldn't be a total surprise if Kazan made this one tight, it's likely gonna be a Darfur victory. However, the genocidists are pretty one-dimensional leading Elephant in rushing but averaging just over 150 yds/game passing. If Kazan can stop the Darfur running attack, this one is up for grabs. Still...Darfur 28-12
Appalachicola vs Fat Jaws - A few weeks back, the Bucs laid a smackdown on the Badness and FJB is chomping at the bit to get another shot. The Bucs nearly stumbled last week but are still a dangerous team. This is another situation where a strong team is fairly one-dimensional so chances are FJB is trying to find a way to force the Bucs to throw the ball. Should that happen, the Badness could find themselves in the driver's seat. I picked against the Bucs earlier in the season and lost....so they'll probably be happy that I'm picking against them again. FJB in a nailbiter 21-20.
Good Luck everyone.....I'll update things Thursday night..
