So, I Generally refrain from saying too much on the forums. I don't generally have the time to do a whole lot of things other than trying not to embarrass myself as the OC of EEA.
However, I thought I would throw some predictions out for the playoffs, just for fun.
SO, let's start.....
#4 Gold Coast Michelin Men vs. #5 Guam Chamoros Rising Suns
Early tight games against GC Vipers and my team, EEA, didn't really have me believing in GC Michelin all season. I just wasn't really sure on how strong they were. However, after a tough loss to Christchurch, their defense went on a tear, holding their last 5 opponents to a total of 35 points.
Guam has a solid club, but I'm just not sure that they can overcome this mountain. After getting blown in the final game (For home field advantage), I don't know if they have the Defense that can stop GC.
I'm a believer now. GC Michelin Men by 28+ in a route.
#2 Christchurch vs. #7 Telstar
I've known Jughead now for a lot of seasons, and one thing I can say is that he is always prepped for the playoffs. Christchurch, IMO, has never deviated from their plan, which is to run, run and run some more. Their offense this year has been on fire, with a few tight games mixed in mostly with blowouts.
Admittedly, i don't know much about Telstar, except they beat us in the first regular season game (which I wasn't happy about, due to my incompetence and some phantom plays lol). I haven't watched them much since, but for this game, I don't think I need to get into their team to much. They have a good ballclub, but just not enough to stop the powerful Maori.
Christchurch by 21+
#3Gold Coast Vipers vs. #6 NMI Pagan Fire Eaters
Both these teams are solid. The Vipers are one of those teams that just sneak up on you. They don't do anything amazing, they just do everything better than average. Meanwhile, NMI is another sneaky team. And judging from some of their wins this season, I think they scheme pretty well.
This game has upset special written all over it. NMI looks to avenge that 7 point loss and takes this game by 10
And Finally, the game EVERYONE will be watching.. if, and only if.... they are so bored out of their minds that they stumble upon GLB, OPRO and click on the wrong link.
#1 BDC vs. #8 EEA
We slid into the 8 spot, thanks to a couple losses that I'm pulling out my hair about. Meanwhile, BDC has simply blown everyone and anyone out of the water.
Clearly EE.... err...BDC is the class of the league this season and should have no problem manhandling EEA. Infact, my only job as owner, and OC for this game is to try to keep the score respectable and not completely embarrass myself.
BDC by 28
Round 2
#1 BDC vs. #4 Gold Coast Michelin
Again, Gold Coast Michelin has a great club, and I'm a believer, but BDC is just to much to handle.
BDC by 21+
#2 Christchurch vs. #7 NMI
This is a tough call, tbh. Again, I think NMI has a great club and schemes pretty well. Plus, their the only team in OPRO that has enough gamefilm on themselves to stretch is all out from California to Russia.
Meanwhile, Christchurch just runs, runs and runs some more.
I'll say Christchurch by 17, in a game closer than the score would indicate.
So, finally, that leaves us with the two teams that clearly are the class of the league this season.
In one corner the all but unstoppable BDC, and in the other corner, the Christchurch running Maori.
With a ridiculous loss at the hands of BDC mid season, I think the ole running Maori are going to have a long 2 days of film sessions, and be ready for this one.
However, in the end, BDC is just too much to handle. ALthough, the score will be closer this time around.
For the championship of Alpha, BDC beats on the Maori 35-21.
...And that's all i got.
However, I thought I would throw some predictions out for the playoffs, just for fun.
