This is an MVP race coming down to the wire (rankings through 15 games).

Velvet Jackson - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=716060
Ranked as the #1 HB in OPL Alpha, #2 offensive player in OPL Alpha, #249 Global Offensive Player

J.P. "Ragin' Cajun" Gautreaux - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=759839
Ranked as the #2 HB in OPL Alpha, #1 offensive player in OPL Alpha, #832 Global Offensive Player

Both players are looking for the MVP title following outstanding seasons. Only one can win and either would be a deserving winner. Who you got?

ROYF imo.

allowing teams to score points so yards and touchdowns count in mvp races is cheating the system.

lol...I should have paid better attention to the MVP standings.

Both are great runningbacks...but I would have to say Cajun is the OMVP.

J.P. "Ragin' Cajun" Gautreaux mean's much more to the Maori than probably most HB's to their team. He's practically our version of Priest Holmes.

Without Cajun - We're an average defense that can't pass the ball - we'd be an 10th seed at best.

Take VJ off SoCal - and they'd still have a top 3 offense and defense.

SoCal made their move fer their dot....I dunno if we can fault them for borts mvp system.

It's a "weighted" formula I believe...even if you allow an under leveled team to score - the "underlevel" part mathematically diminishes the MVP points gained.

I have to agree that he's important, but the acquisition of Shizzle helped your offense tremendously. His outside presence moves lb's a bit wider on first downs allowing a bigger hole in the middle for Cajun. (who I think may have the same build as my hb... its gotta be close)

I'm a bit partial to VJ, going back to our days on the Laser Cats. Both of the RBs that were on that team turned out to be bad asses.... Roc could have ended up on SoCal too if I didn't think the Feebs were going to need him before we signed Ax. http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=681931

not accusing or making excuses, but you're right.

Also, ROYF's rushing yards: 2392
Rest of teams production total: 2594

How we made the 8 seed is beyond me.

I'm just glad Shizzle was able to have this kind of impact in his first decline season.

IMO...shizzle has reinvented the powerback position from it's traditional build approach.

to be fair, we haven't done anything to get Velvet stats all season - the other 2 RBs have combined for 42 rushing TDs going into the last game.

Velvet was hurt by the fact that going into week 16 only 6 of our games had not resulted in adjusted stats. I tried to help him out a bit because I thought the dot deserved it. Sue me.

This. You really can't dog So Cal. Bort put the system in and it screws players on teams like So Cal. Through no fault of their own, they get less of a chance of an award. I really don't like how one player will get an endorsement that boosts them through a flawed system like this, it is rather silly. I really don't think MVP should be anything more than bragging rights. Attaching a stat to it is what causes the problem in the end.
