My suggestion.... and in this order:
STAMINA, AGILITY, VISION and then SPEED.
It depends if you are starting or what. You need to have some STAMINA to be on the field, then you need the AGILITY to get to your WR or the man you are going tackle.
The VISION to see what play is going to unfold, whether it's a pass to a man towards you or a HB running towards you.

Your speed is good now but either train on it or as soon as you LEVEL up.. put some towards it.

I agree with 36bear. You guys that are loading up with big speed numbers evidently don't understand how the game works. Agility is the ability to change directions. That's just as important as speed. So what if you've got 50 speed if you're going the wrong direction? Vision is also key and should be high. If you're guy can't see the ball carrier or the pass, having lots of speed won't matter. Your guy will stand in the middle of the field instead of taking off to the action. Finally, stamina is extremely important. Without it, you're off the field.

I know this. I had a player with big speed and he only got good when his other attributes caught up.

You'll be more productive if you scan these boards and develop a combination/formula that keeps your levels in balance. Then develop them in concert. If you don't, you'll load up early with something and then you'll have to wait until your like Lvl 14 to have your attributes come together.

When I build a player, I like to do it by putting all 5pts into one ability not putting 2 here and 1 there... But w/e floats your boat.
