Lots of interesting match-ups, in order of interest to me:
1a.Montpelier vs Crib Midgets - This should be a good, close game. I think Crib would have taken them earlier in the season, but now it's a slugfest. To show you how crazy deep silver7 west is, this match may determine the difference between the 4 & 5 seeded teams, and the loser may be as low as 6th...wow.
Prediction: Crib 10-7
1b.Vancouver vs SBI - Two very good teams who weren't given enough credit at the beginning of the year. Vancouver has knocked off Crib & Montpelier in back to back weeks and are hoping to cruise to the 3rd seed in the playoffs. SBI also has 2 losses to the same 2 teams (FT & Bears), but have yet to play Crib & Montpelier. This is tough, b/c Vancouver has already proven themselves, yet SBI actually played FT & Bears closer than Vancouver did, meaning this should be a good test for them to see if they're worthy of the 3rd seed or the 6th (or somewhere in between). Both teams still have an outside shot to be as high as a 2-seed.
Prediction Tie 7-7
2. Eugene vs Hartford - A couple of top teams in the east playing each other. Eugene is their typical above average self, and a good opponent for anybody. Hartford appears to have some new coaching in shape, but they're tough to gauge for two reasons: 1) they haven't played anybody; 2) they used a loophole to put some day 31 builds on their team (this has helped them, but those players will all be gone on day 31 of this year, pretty much screwing their playoff chances).
Prediction Even with the bogus roster, Eugene wins 28-0.
3. Michigan vs Texas - Texas is like they were last year: decent talent, poor coaching. Michigan is your typical middle-of-the road team that hasn't quite turned the corner to take things to the next level. My bet is on Michigan ending up the 7 seed.
Prediction - Michigan 49-0.
4. Nakhoda vs Bears - Mostly listed, b/c it is possible this game will be replayed in the first round of the playoffs in the 2vs7 game. Nakhoda looks in good shape to have the 7 seed locked up, but when looking at their schedule it is more likely they finish in a tie for 8th at 7-9. The Bears could still tie for first, or fall to 4th.
Prediction: Bears 90-0
Other games of note:
Rhode Island vs Ninjas - 2 teams fighting to improve playoff chances
Crackertown vs Twintowns - see above
