I saw something like this in one of my other games, except the QB got cleaned up by the LDE a few seconds later

Did you watch it a frame at a time? The NG, C, LG, and RG all meet at the QB and the trajectory of the ball is as if the QB threw it as he was falling backwards. Chalk it up to a fluke play I guess.
