So after 2 complete seasons, wat does everyone think of the WL. I would imagine most that have been here both seasons would like the WL to continue, not that it is in jeopardy, just sparking some discussion. Or would some of you rather go back to the "old" style of Pro Leagues being the top notch with the tourneys to get inter-league competition.

thoughts? discussion?

USA Pro is still cooler.

I preferred it when there was only a few big games a season and I didn't have to gameplan until the playoffs personally. Working to get to the playoffs... man that sucks.

Love the week to week competition. Hate everything else about it, especially the forums and what it has done to the rest of the leagues.

I hate how much people hate the forums. Besides that I'm a fan.

The better WL teams would be a joke in the pro leagues. It wouldn't be fun for them or the teams they play. People talk about the WL draining the talent of pro leagues but ignore the fact that it has increased parity. Parity is more important to competition than how well teams stack up to the best.

could care less either way i guess...but it just seems like there is a lot less to talk about once the World League was created...most of the banter i like about this game before came through scrimmages/tournaments/rankings and there were 8 pro leagues that people actually gave a crap about the results to...now its just kind of boring outside of the coordinating element.

Yup. GLB is kinda boring w/o the rankings and tournaments and arguing over who's the better team.

It is fun to see these teams square off on a regular basis all in one place, but I do miss the old way.

This pretty much sums it up for me. I prefer the WL to the rankings. Way too much bias involved in the committee doing the rankings and great teams from lesser known regions were "shouted" out by the masses. I'd rather just see the great teams go head to head, than have to compare scrimmage schedules and depend on people to give teams out of their favorite region a fair shake.

True that, and you can't compare scrimmage schedules anyway, I mean just look at the WL games...rarely do two teams play as well or as bad against the same team. Every team has its strengths and weaknesses and sometimes those decide a win or a loss...so until the best team all play each other, there is just no telling!
