1) Ironton - The Tanks further solidified their rankings by controlling the Wamphyrii. Any defense that can hold Wallachia to 150 total yards is clearly for real. It will be interesting to see how the other home field playoff contenders handle the Tanks.
2) Le Thor - Ranking them ahead of the Lions simply based on their rout of Uganda. With the conference appearing at this time to be top heavy, it's still difficult to sort out the way the next few teams fall. The Devil Bats have the good fortune (or maybe misfortune?) to not have to face any other top contenders until their week 11 showdown with Ironton which may pit two 10-0 teams. Only a potential speed bump in Serengeti stands in their way.
3) Luxembourg Lions - They look to be dangerous but have not been tested as of yet. Their next 3 games could determine whether they're on the Tanks level as they face the (underachieving?) Space Cowboys, the Wamphyrii and the Stink Apes.
4) Wallachia Wamphyrii- Had their 22 game winning streak snapped in dramatic fashion by Ironton 36-3. While they managed to keep the score respectable until giving up 16 unanswered points in the last half of the 4th quarter, their vaunted offense was held in check. The only question that remains is are they pretenders playing with the big boys or is Ironton just that good?
5) Serengeti Wildebeest - They really haven't done anything deserving of a high ranking yet but they aren't in control of their schedule. Still 4-0 gets you something and they'll have the chance to make a statement when they face the Devil Bats in week 5.
Honorable Mention:
Uganda Stink Apes - Did they just have a bad week vs the Bats in week 2? Talent-wise they appear to be no worse than 5th in the league but we'll see how they handle the powerful Tanks next week
