It's p hard to do when you consider that many LTs or RTs are going up against DEs with a huge strength deficiency. Even TEs can get huge pancake numbers if they're built right.

My C has come in 3rd once, 4th twice, and 5th once, but it's tough when you're going up against DTs that outlevel you by 10-20 levels and competing for the trophy against OTs that have 20-25 levels on you.

False. C's can rock just as much as any other position.

At the higher levels, yes, but at lower levels Cs are still lacking speed and OTs/TEs have a huge advantage over DEs in strength.
I mean, my C gets a good amount against even competition and he doesn't get many plays per game. But he still gets outpancaked by the TE/OT on his team.

Not worth it, imo. Tried that at the end of last season after we missed the playoffs. He did OK, but nothing earth shattering...definitely not OT material.
C->G plays ok
C->OT sucktastic

What?
OT = +0.4/level
TE = +0.5/level
DE = +0.5/level
So, an OT actually has a strength DISADVANTAGE over DE's and a TE will break even.

Problem with that is that many run blocking OTs and TEs are focusing on strength early on in their builds while most DEs focus on speed or agility early on. It makes for a huge strength gap between the OT/TE and the DE at the lower levels.
It's not about the skill gain per level, it's about the order of capping. OTs and TEs cap strength first or second while many DEs cap it third after they've already 4th or 5th capped speed/agility.

...and that's their choice. DEs *could* be stronger than OTs, they just choose not to. Oh, and as a bonus, DE's could at the same time be faster and more agile as they have higher bonuses in both of those attributes as well.
Strength:
OT: 0.4
DE: 0.5
Agility:
OT: 0.4
DE: 0.5
Speed:
OT: 0
DE: 0.5
Strength:
OT: 0.4
DE: 0.5
Agility:
OT: 0.4
DE: 0.5
Speed:
OT: 0
DE: 0.5

Yes, that's true, but the entire point is that most OTs/TEs have a strength advantage over DEs at the lower levels which allows them to win tons of pancake trophies. At higher levels like the WL it evens out more but in the cloud it's p tough for a C to win a pancake trophy.

dayum man, that is a badass looking C, both lolbar-wise and performance-wise.
How important/high do you consider taking VIS and Conf on a C to be, for both the running and passing game, if you are feeling charitable.

Not really sure on run vs pass. I've always built my guys as run blockers, it just so happens that means they can pass block without problems.
Vision on Conf are both important...but come later in life. Take them as high as your build plan will allow

I think C-G is pretty good. However, I agree that C - OT is sucktastic. There is definitely a bigger OOPP for moving a C to OT than moving him to OG. It's at least 2x as much and maybe 3x.
