Here you go!... Rip it up.....
SoCal BDC - The BDC are my pre-season team to beat. Shutd0wn and jdros13 are to of the best owners in GLB and they represented O-Pro well for 2 season in the World League. Although they only had 4 wins last season that might translate into 12-13 wins in any Pro League. With perhaps the best Defensive dot to ever play the game in Denver LastDinosuar I think the BDC will make a strong push for the Alpha Crown. By the time the first game is played the BDC will have 100% chemistry in offense and defense and 85% Total.
Christchurch Fighting Maori - The Maori are good. They are starting to show a pattern of being OK in the first part of the season and then really heating up in the second half and the playoffs. Perhaps that be attributed to chemistry. In looking over their schedule I could see this teams easily going 13-3 and earning the #1 seed, so expectations are high. In fact I am certain that within the Front Office, anything less that a Championship would be a huge disappointment. Can Tim RyanJr lead this team to glory?... or will they lean on the tired legs Shizzle McNizzle?...
N.M.I. Pagan Fire Eaters - I'm not gonna lie, I really like this team! In fact I think this team has what it takes to win the Championship. The thing is, there are only 14 players on this years team who were on the Fire eaters last season... So 40 players are new!!!... Can the Fire Eaters really take a rag tag bunch of Vets and wannabees throw them together and expect to win it all?... I would not be writing this review if I didn't think so. One thing to watch is the PFE's chemistry, which won't be complete until the playoffs start.
Liechtenstein Lycans - This is the team with all the hype riding into O-Pro with a 56 game winning streak and bragging that they didn't even have to gameplan to win their AA Chumpionship. I usually don't give new teams the kind of respect the #4 slot begets but its hard to ignore the fact that the Lycans are the only 72 rated team in O-Pro. Looking over their lineup will tell you why though... the Lycans are also one of, if not the, oldest team in O-Pro! If they do win the Gold this season.... most of those players will not be seeing the World League next season...
Taylor Bulldogs - The Bulldogs had their transition year last year, only instead of transitioning from an old team to a young one, they went from a running team into a passing team. That transition is complete but will it allow the Bulldogs to compete for the Alpha Crown. They could have the #1 passing offense, but if they improve the running game in must run situations the Bulldogs could wind up on the losing side of a lot of close games. Not a lot of player movement in the off-season so their chemistry is near perfect at the start of the season....
USB Rough Riders - Talk about a culture shock, the Rough Riders were in USA AA last season. The won their Chumpionship and now find themselves in O-Pro.... The Riders along with the Lycans make up our geriatric teams, so this could help them get settled in to the Pros. However I think tthat catching up to the strategy and galmeplanning at this level will take the Riders about half of a season to hit their stride.
Telstar Rebels - This team won a Chumpionship last season so why are they so low on this list???.... 28th in Rushing that's why.... There better be more than meets the eye if this team is going to be close to enjoying the same success they had before....
Gold Coast Michelin Men - This team is built on Defense. They dominated the AAA but can they do the same in the Pros?.... On the other side of the ball I have to wonder if the Men's passing is up to snuff... you have to do it both ways in Oceania... We'll see....
Eastern European Alliance - This team might be better than I think they are but there's no hardware on the front page and their 27th ranked passing attack is not that scary to me.
Gold Coast Vipers - This team is determined to get better in the passing game and quite frankly they are going to need to unless they are happy with being the #8 seed in the playoffs. eZ has his work cut out for him... but I know he has what it takes to make his team better.
Guam Chamoros Rising Sun Devils - I really don't know much about this team but they sure have a long name.
Phoenix Eagles - I really don't know much about this team but they seem just happy to be here.
Bikini Island Atomic Surfers - The Surfers first year in the Pros they went 8-8... I don't think that made them very happy because they have re-vamped their lineup hoping that an infusion of talent will help them make the playoffs. We'll see if their strategy works.
Fiji Ventures - I hear otmalize was seen in the Haitian VooDoo district looking for a charm that would make his team beat everyone except the PFE, I think they should just glamplan for everyone else like they do for the Fire Eaters.
Tasmania Tigers - This team is currently going through a transition phase and will be fighting to stay in the O-Pro.
Molokai Lavastorm - What happens when you take a team full of level 48 bad asses and sent them straight to the Pro?... You get to fight to stay....
