He plays mostly in Goal Line/Red Zone situations and on Special Teams. Any suggestions towards improving him in those roles or all around would be very helpful!!
Thank you!

You might get more out of moving the 4 VP from special teamer to distance runner. I really like the bonuses from special teamer but the bonuses may get lost when weighed against playing with low energy. It is just a theory I could be wrong. You can always start filling special teamer after you get about 5 points in distance runner.

As to the build. You really want about 70 in agility for regular game play and ST play. I have 4 ST DEs that play both ways and agility really boosted their performance imo.

Cool, thanks for the input AngryDragon! (here and in the FB forum! )!!

Out of curiosity, if I am not playing as much as the starting C, would Distance Runner be as necessary? I ask because it would seem like the C shouldn't get to low energy if he isn't playing much other than goal line and ST? Or is that an erroneous assumption?

I am currently training Agility up to 68, then I thought I would take Vision to 68 also.

I've got a pair of Special teams-only C's that are level 36. I might have to try out distance runner per AngryDragon. They both have Cut Block, I've got several players at different positions (special teams, RG, LG, RT and FB) trying out that SA this season. I know it has a bad rap for taking blockers out of the play when it works, but I can always sell that AEQ back if it disappoints.

Edit - They would probably perform better if they weren't 6 levels lower than their teammates, but they were an after-thought when we started this slow build team.

In fact, I just followed AngryDragon's advice and used a reset (as well as the 2 VP I was trying to decide how to spend) to get both of them to 6 Distance Runner and 6 Special Teamer. We'll see how that 30% reduction in energy usage compares to a loss of 4% to all abilities.

I am not sure about a C since they have so much strength. I know my ST DEs energy get zapped quickly.

Is there any way to see what your players energy levels are at certain points in the game/simulation? Or do you just see what they end up with after the game?

just the end game energy as far as I know. I think it can be misleading if you sat the last 5 plays or so or if you played the last 5 plays or so. Your energy refills by a percent every play you sit out.
