I'm curious if the # calculated is for all USA A or will each USA A# have a different median.

Unless one of the bigger teams(By level) boost early.

What if the # is taken across all of USA A ?
I mean, USA A#1 is far superior to all the other USA A#Xs so I wonder how that'll work.

It probably won't, bort already has enough complaints on his shoulder.

I think its taken per league, not just all of the A.

Even if it is all of the A I still don't think they effect is so massive it would hurt us here.

our league median is large. we avg almost 14.. + the 6 to 8 levels and our median is between 20 to 22

We won't have any problems with the new sportsmanships rules. Currently, our league level Avg. is around 14. I don't know what the median is, because I don't know what parameters Bort is going to use for that, ie. just the starters for each team, the first two at each position, etc. However, it will be higher than the avg.

I've read where people are afraid to boost. Boosting won't hurt you one bit, and if you go read the outline, boosting is encouraged and is one of the things that resets your player's sportsmanship bar (which I assume is going to be similar to the E bar or team Chemistry bar) back to zero. One of the things everyone has to realize, is the league median number is updated for the night during the evening batch run. So, if half a dozen teams boost that day, that night when the calculations are run, that median will also rise, maintaining the safe level zone for everybody.

The goal of this new rule is only going to affect a very small percentage of teams, mainly those teams in the Africa league that went out and loaded their rosters with level 20 guys so they can pound the shit out the other teams with the level 8 guys. THOSE teams will get the hammer. For the rest of us, we'll be operating with a high ceiling cap that does not exist for us. Since we're first year teams, the highest available FA's for us are also first year FA's, 16-24, right in that planned zone for out League level. There just aren't any Level 30-36 guys available for any of us in here that would cause the sportsmanship hit, because those players just do not exist.

We're fine. It's the Africa League guys who are fucked. Watch this drive those high level FA's out of those lower leagues now, probably in huge numbers, back to the teams at levels they SHOULD be playing at. One of the "fun" aspects of this game, is hitting new levels, and disbursing points. If it suddenly takes you forever to reach a new level because you're player is getting penalized for being at the wrong level of competition...that won't be too much fun. This should provide some liquidity in the FA market next season, as a first season player will now seek employment with a first season team so he can level up properly. I think it was a good rule.

Unfortunately it doesn't do much for us 2nd season teams because the gap between us and the rest of the playing field isn't enough for the penalties to apply. We're only 2-3 levels below the league average so we'll just have to close the gap on our own.
