Ya, it was quite a surprise. We built the team from scratch waiting for this season where all the Season 1 guys were starting their declines or retiring. It was our time to shine and then poof, we go CPU and its every man for himself.
Unfortunate ending to a team with tons of promise.
I'm glad to have signed two guys on the Rhino's though so I got to stay in APL!

I dont understand how teams do this and ruin leagues. Easily could have gotten the hell out last week and have a real team now Lion is just lolLion again with 2 gut jobs.

What I don't under stand is, they have over $40 mil in the bank! They didn't hand it out? Just odd.

Stop being a fucking idiot. No one, and I mean NO ONE really cares what LOL players wrote in the past except you. And that is because you continue to define your mediocre ownership skills by what LOL has accomplished since you can't win on your own merits after 11 seasons.
Why not try this out? Stop typing about LOL and focus on making your team a winner. You have a decent OC and a pretty awesome DC. Work with them to improve your team and stop living in another teams past.

We had a team in Africa Pro the 1st season of APL's existance. It was Gott's roommates (cousin) squad. Gotts cousin lost interest in GLB halfway through our 1st season and Gott was the owner of a USA AAA squad (Golden State Gorillas) and didn't want to have to manage/control a 2nd team. The decision was made to go slow build with the Barbary Coast squad. We fell all the way to the bottom and then worked our way all the way back to APL in Season 10. We were playing against squads that out leveled us by 15+ levels at every single position. We had no realistic chance of doing anything in APL and went 2-14. I think there were 2 CPU/gutjobs in the league that season (our only 2 wins) and those teams were moved down, leaving us in the APL. As a team we discussed the option of staying in APL where we would be hopelessly out leveled by 12-16 at every position and endure another miserable, lopsided season or going down to AAA where we could be competitive. We decided to go down where we would be playing against teams that were more in our level range, although we were still out leveled by 5-8 in many games. Down in AAA (Season 11) we went 16-0 before losing in the conference championship game. The league was very competitive and was perfect for us. We then moved back up to APL in Season 12 and improved on our 2-14 record going 8-8 and narrowly missing the playoffs.
You can call us pussies for wanting to play against teams out leveling us by 5-8 instead of 10-16 but I call that common sense.
We all pay money for this game and want to have a fun experience. Getting blown out by teams who we would kick the shit out of if the levels were equal was not our idea of fun. Next time you want to talk some shit, just suck an elephant cock (or rhino) instead and keep your bullshit to yourself.
