Which one would you rather build?

I like building both of those positions. I have 6 CBs (1 is a returner), and 4 LBs (3 OLB, 1 MLB).

LBs are pretty easy, because it's hard to go wrong and screw up the build, because their natural gains are so pathetic, that it's close to irrelevant by end-game.

So build one of each?

Heres what i was going to do

Build a DE--600

Build 2x LB or CB--1200

Buy the Division III pack and be set for each season.

Are DE's worth building?

How are KR/PR CB's?

That's a "fast built" dot. Created, boosted 6 times to level 7, thrown into the starting lineup of an undermanned 13cap team, back in season 4. Extremely inefficiently built, but I saved the build after a lot of work.

With proper VA/SP placement, and lots of speed, CBs can make pretty damn good returners, and are cheaper than HB/WR. (Logistically, HB/WR is a better choice, simply due to the available SA)

Would you rather build a KR/PR CB then a Pass Rushing DE?

Well, ideally, yes, I would. They're more fun.

But realistically, each team only needs 1 returner...and 4 DEs. So, a DE is a safer bet.

HB/WR are also better investments as the stats needed for returning make them fine backups in their own positions.

True. A well built CB returner will have basically no tackling, which hurt the build. (Notice my returner, 57 pass defense bar, when it should be 63 or 66, if he were built to defend the pass)

It's just that 300 flex dots cost a lot. If I were going to build a return man again, it'd be a HB. You can train catching high enough to be a good scat back, and every other attribute meshes for both returns and pitches.

A WR needs a little higher than ~40 (trained) catching, so you'd have to spend a few SP to get him into good shape as WR4 or WR5. HB is clearly the best, in terms of build efficiency, followed by WR, then CB.
