Why are there so many o-lineman in this game that have not yet figured out strength is the most important stat for any linemen?????

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=49914

Strength: 80.09 Blocking: 43.4
Speed: 14.2 Tackling: 18
Agility: 27.67 Throwing: 8
Jumping: 10 Catching: 7
Stamina: 32.56 Carrying: 8
Vision: 20.94 Kicking: 9
Confidence: 20.4 Punting: 8
Pass Blocking Abilities
22222
Run Blocking Abilities
11111

By the way that is a OT that has 228 pancakes and 2 leage championships. So please do not tell me I am wrong. You will just prove how much you do not know.

Fully agree that strength is the most important stat. Not sure that I agree quite to this extent though. The amount of pancakess you have is impressive, although I think 2 sacks and 10 rushes your qb team took is a better indicator of the quality oline your team has.

I can't help thinking that 7 points of your strength could have been 14 points of blocking and vision...

I have two guards with 70 strength 50 blocking, and a tackle with 50 strength 75 blocking. They all do well on the same team, but the tackle has gotten double the amount of pancakes of the guards since joining the team. Surprised the hell out of me.

The tackles probably go up against weaker DEs than the tackles the Guard has to deal with.

My Center has even more strength and he only got 94 pancakes in USA Pro I believe lol.

Strength is definitely most important for interior lineman for teams that run up the middle, I don't think I'd agree with it being more important for OT's though, unless you're up against a lot of DE's with low strength but higher speed/agility.

Actually dude it is the other way around... OTs generally put all equipment into blocking while OGs put all equipment into strength and both raise blocking and strength to 50 normal. OTs need more blocking then strength to occupy DEs enough for the QB to throw while OGs need a lot of strength to try and pancake the NT/DT.

Yeah, guards need more strength and tackles need more blocking. I'm not sure where you got the idea that it should be the other way. Just look at who they're going up against, NTs and DTs stack agility and strength, so guards and centers have to counter that. DEs stack agility, speed and strength so tackles don't need to hit as hard, just move faster than the opposition.
