Tournament is full now - thanks.
After a one season hiatus, I have decided to start up my tournament again, this time with a bit of a different twist. No World League teams are eligible and any team that is in the Pro or AAA ranks is eligible (no minimum win or bar requirements). Seeding will be determined by my discretion using my judgment based on things like team history, strength of roster, and previous season performance. The field will either be 32, 64, or 128 teams depending on how fast it fills up. Whatever number we are at by day 48, will be the number of entrants. It'll be rounded down though so if there are 47 teams signed up, it'll only be a 32 team field and the last 15 entrants will be removed. It will be capped at 128 though no matter what. Best to sign up early.
Word of warning - if your team is not that good, you'll likely be matched up with a superior team in the first round and lose. Your choice if you want to sign up - I'm not going to discriminate against outmatched teams, but just be forewarned.
Prizes:
1st place - $40
2nd place - $20
3rd/4th place - $10
MVP of Championship Game (determined by me): $10
Worst seeded team to make Sweet Sixteen (if 64 or more teams) or Elite Eight (if 32 teams): $10
When signing up, post your team link. If you don't, I will not accept your entry.
Rules of the tournament are as follows - failure to meet them will result in forfeiture. No second chances. Period.
#1 - you must have an available scrimmage slot available as long as you are still in the tournament.
#2 - the higher seeded team is responsible for sending the challenge. However, the lower seeded team gets scheduling priority -- meaning if they do not agree with the date/time of the original challenge, they can reject and send out a challenge of their own as long as the challenge is not within 5 hours of a team's regular league game. If the lower seeded team does this, they MUST post it in the regional bracket thread.
ie. #1 seed is a higher seed than a #4 seed.
#3 - you have three days from the time you know your matchup to send a challenge. If the other team has not responded within 24 hours of your request, you must post so in the tournament thread. The onus will then shift to the lower seeded team to accept the challenge within three days. For the opening round, you will have three days from the first date scrimmages are able to be scheduled. Thereafter, you will have three days either from the time the brackets are posted in the Friendlies Forum or I have messaged you requesting you to schedule your next game.
Failure to meet one of the above rules will result in forfeiture of your game. If both teams do not follow rules they will both be eliminated and prospective challenging team in the next round will advance automatically.
