He obviously knew that he was going for it on 4th down, should have run it on 3rd down to Faulk who was gashing them. Just a bad play at the end, get past the damn first down marker. Giving Manning the short field was a joke, should have punted and made him work for it. Basically just told your defense that I have zero faith in you...

I don't like New England, but I understand the call to an extent. Not saying it was smart, but understandable. Manning was getting in a groove and BB didn't think his defense could make a stop, he was trying to win the game right there.

If he makes that nobody questions the call.

He should have ran the ball and then ran again on 4th if he was going for it. But it is still the worst call I have ever seen by a coach. If Peyton can go 75 yards in 2 minutes with 1 timeout, so be it. But don't hand them the game at the 30. I hate BB and New England so I was happy to see it happen.

And you are wrong, even if he makes it, he still is an idiot!

You would think that if he wasn't confident in stopping them from 70 yards he would have let them score on the Addai run and give his offense a chance. Anyway you look at it, it was a bad call. If they would have converted then as usual people would be throwing around the word genius.

I couldn't believe they went for it and I agree with Harrison last night saying it was the biggest coaching mistake he's seen BB make. Like several people said, if they were going for it, it should've been runs. Really, they shouldn't have gone for it on 4th and 2 with the chance to give Manning only 30 yards for a TD. I mean, the Colts only had 1 TO left...make them go the entire field.

At the same time, after the Giants did the same thing to Rivers and he marched it down the field and beat them, I understand not wanting to give Manning that chance. I still don't think it was worth the gamble. And think of the message it sends your young D.

The call on 4th down was questionable, but kind of gutsy and I like it. But they should have ended the game before that.

You are leading late in the 4th quarter and on 3rd and 2, you come out in shotgun??? That is not football. Line up with two tight ends, tell your linemen to smash the defensive line, and tell your running back to fall forward 2 yards. They won super bowls because Antowain Smith and Corey Dillon ran for 3 yards on 3rd and 2. What a mockery of real football.

I agree Sull, I had said he knew they were going for it, man up with a FB, HB and 3 TE's and get it done, especially against a small but very fast DL of the Colts...They are thinking, keep the ball in the hands of Brady.
