N.M.I. Pagan Fire Eaters vs. Bay City Bohica - This is without a doubt a battle of the two teams who love to throw the rock.... Bay City has the #2 passing attack and PFE has the #3, but PFE also has the #1 overall offense.... My gut says bet the over in this one. In their regular season matchup PFE won 47-28 it should be closer this time... Fire Eaters win 35-30
Nottingham Hoods vs. Easter Island Head Hunters - The Hoods are the hottest team in the playoffs winning their last 7 games including the one over the Head Hunters 34-17. The Hoods are getting it done with defense, #5 overall. The Head Hunters have a great running game, #2, but I think the experience of the Hoods will be the deciding factor in this game... 28-17
Molokai Lavastorm vs Micronesia Megalodons - Molokai fumbled a little towards the end of the season dropping from the #1 seed down to #3 but they still have the #2 overall offense powered by the #1 rushing attack in O-Pro. Micronesia finished the season strong by knocking off the #1 & #4 teams but the last game they lost was to Molokai. If I was going to pick an upset then this would be it... but I'm not, Lavastorm wins a close one 24-17
An alBum Cover vs. Christchurch Fighting Maori - An alBum has without a doubt been a great rookie team and they have the talent and coaching to earn my respect with the #3 overall offense in O-Pro and the #6 defense. An alBum beat down Christchurch 37-13 in their first meeting and quite frankly the Maori have not done enough this season for me to favor them. In fact the Maori only beat one playoff team.

Samoa Flying Foxes vs. Sumatra SeaHawks - If you called the Foxes the best team in O-Pro you wouldn't get many arguments... with the #4 offense and the #8 defense they work it on both sides of the ball. Sumatra has been up and down all season and the 20th offense is not going to cut it here. These two teams just played and even though they were probably not giving up much in week 16 I still think the outcome will be the same.... Foxes win 35-17
Sydney Jellybirds vs. Perth Pirates - What happens when you pit the #1 overall Defense, (Jellybirds), against the #11 Offense, (Perth),??? Well I'll tell you it ain't pretty... I think Perth would have done better to finish 8th instead of 7th.... Jellybirds win easy 40-7
Guadalcanal Gunners vs. Samoa Gangsters - This game is the battle of the Defense, bet the under here for sure! The Gunners have the #3 Defense and the Gangsters have the 9th Defense. Offensively there is not really much to talk about between these two teams and that doesn't bode well for the Gangsters, however the Gangsters won the regular season matchup... does that mean they will win in week 17?.... No, Gunners get revenge 20-13
Berlin Kreuzberg Red Stars vs Christchurch Knightmares - The Red Stars have the 2nd best offense in Zeta, #5 overall, very solid rushing and passing but the Knights mares have the #1 passing attack in all of O-Pro.... yet for all of the offense with these two teams they also have some of the best defense around, Red Stars, #4, Knightmares, #7. I think that the Knightmares will avenge their regular season loss and beat the Red Stars 34-24. By the way.... Great Rookie season Red Stars!!!
