My write-up for our team:
Fantastic result and I am pretty sure we are heading to the playoffs now no matter what happens in our last game.
Let's take a look at the action:
The game started off as a smash-mouth football challenge. The Volcano decided they could ram the ball right down our throats and did exactly that on their first drive 13 runs, one pass attempt, capped by this short TD plunge by Runny MacRun:

We struck right back with a mix of run and pass. 18 plays and we converted on five third down attempts. In the end we settled for a FG though. Out longest play was this 11-yard hookup between John Mazo and Ready Moss:

We got our first break of the day when Alan "Big" Branch forces a fumble and Lofa TooTeenie recovers it to give us great field position:

But the Volcano continues to erupt running the ball. They go on an 15-play drive with 11 of the plays being runs. The drive culminates with this short TD run by tommy. twotone giving Vanuatu back the lead:

We drive into their territory thanks to this 16-yard pitch and catch from Mazo to Run Rabbit Run Run Run:

We get the ball first and try to go deep to Rabbit but the ball is picked off:

They get the ball back and drive to midfield but this Monster Hit by Stud Muffin forces them to punt:

1st and 10 form the 20.5, TeeHee Jackson stuffs Runny MacRun for a .5-yard gain:

They get the ball back and go back to the basics and ram it down our throats. They drive to our 35 and face a 3rd and 5.5 when Stud Muffin gets a huge deflection to force a FG:

We are still battling and within striking distance. Our offense opens it up a little and the passing game clicks. Here we get a 27-yard connection from Mazo to Jockstrap Stripper to get us going:

With 2:23 left in the game the Vanuatu coaches clam their team down. Plenty of time left. And they go to work, picking up two medium passes and a handful of runs to get them in FG range:

Sumatra 20 - Vanuatu 20
After a touchback, Sumatra takes over and backup QB Andrew Christian goes over to the OC and shows him a diagram of a play he thinks will work as a hail-mary pass. "If we go trips right, they will be over-loaded to the left and we might catch a break!". The OC gives him the green-light and sends him on the field. He drops back, spots Rabbit wide open streaking down the sideline:
