Alright I have a hb that I have been slow building currently level 11. I have 2 pieces of aeq with RS, given the beastly nature of high level punting is RS worthwhile? I will not be able to notice any time soon, but should I keep them till I am higher level and look for a % fake chance?

if you gonna return punts/kicks I think 2 pieces of RS is mandatory for a non CB player

keep the 2 RS pieces. you can use the Return Man & Quick Feet VAs to give you all the % fake chance you'll ever need. also got clever instinct as an option. you just have to be patient I guess... definitely not worth dumping a RS piece for something you can raise with VAs though imo

As beastly as high level punting can be, a skilled returner is vital to have a chance against better teams.

My HB is a returner, but I don't have any specific equipment or VAs designed for returning; his main role on the team is as a receiver. However, I have consistently gotten good performance out of him as a returner. In my experience, it makes more sense to build him in a way to be useful in more areas than just returning. The nice thing about HBs is they are the most versatile players in the game; mine has lined up in every position but O Line this year as well as returning.

Here he is against the #1 team in Canada AAA#1 East:

Here is the hb in question. Now if I am a pure returner should speed go to 81 natural or 77?

as long as you're rushing it to 77 that'll be all.

I've got a really solid CB returner. He was "fast built", and as a result is a very inefficient build, but he still performs well. He was created, then boosted 6 times right away, SPs spent, then thrown into the lineup of a 13cap expansion team, as we had trouble recruiting for that team. Anyway, if I could do it over again, I would definitely take speed to 80 right off the bat, for a returner.

Speed kills is always true. Flames was right, and 8 seasons later he's still right. On returners, it's even more true. Getting that speed script to register above 35 is very important.

Edit:

Also, I disagree that RS is a good AE for a CB. For HB/WR, it's #1 easily, but for a CB, Spin is #1 without question, followed by Juke. My CB has avoided a lot of tackles via spin, and he's only got it at +5 (And +5 juke as well)

I would take it way beyond 80 personally, probably 87. I had CB returner once, and all i did was train speed and agility, nothing else. He was aweome. Folded him we got rid of BDX
