shutdown corners are better defensive players than speedster corners are. i have 2 shutdown guys and 1 speedster. compare regular season stats..all the same level

SHUTDOWN CORNERS:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=249007&playoffs=0 (this guys is 5th string btw)

Well Hokeez one of the main reasons for that is the speed and agility really..I mean yes your speedster has more speed. but when they cut, even though Change Direction is up he is still lacking agility which enables him to come out of those breaks at a quicker speed..But since the Agility of your 2 shutdown corners are in the 30's and their speed is in the 30's it could stand to reason that in a foot race your speedster might win..but in covering a wideout your shutdowns are quicker because of the agility...If that speedster had higher agility..then who knows how his stats would be..not to mention. you could sort of put some into the vision category regardless of his type because it just helps

Is it just me or are the 2 shutdown corners the exact same ones?

It'll be a big help that Swat Ball has no pre-reqs.

yea i had my equipment more spread out on my speedster corner and had his agility higher but the team i traded him to asked for all equip to be on speed so his attributes are kind of skewed right now. thats not what he looked like during the season

I would definitely suggest that even as a shutdown corner, don't ignore the first two speedster SA's.

this is pretty true.....but your raw abilities as a CB (especially speed and agility) need to always be high! Dont be an idiot that has his shutdown tree 5-5-5-5-5 across the board but only has like 35 speed and 25 agility.....get those high first

Im a lvl 18 and I have 60 speed and 51 agility.....I shut their #1 reeceiver down every game. I didn't allow any TD's last year, not one

Sounds similar in build to my lvl 17 CB. No TDs for me either except for some fluke in the playoffs.

I've gotta agree with you about the SA trees. Gotta pick the SAs that you need and plug your points into those, not the whole tree.
