This is the type of league that is fun. There are teams improving and you can't take a week off. Eden just kicked the crap out of us Silverbacks and I was ready to anoint them Conference Finals Locks as they seem to be hitting their stride. BUUUUUUT, Sahara Sand Storm beats them. Beltway looked like they righted the ship and boom!! Two straight losses. 10th place now.
Honestly, it is tough to properly game plan for such quality and different teams each game. If you have a bad day at work, oh well!!! The next team doesn't care. They game planned and you lost. If you think you finally have your offense ready for anything. No! No! No! Somebody else exposes your HB's lack of something. I need to clear my schedule for the playoff week. If we want to succeed the GM's need to take vacation time or some high school or college kid skipping class is going to beat us.
Again, this is what makes GLB fun. Right now, Sahara Sand Storm just made their way back into playoff contention. Beltway has to scramble just to get a first round game. Tie breakers are really going to matter. Rosetta Stone poor little CPU's are going to see scores run up huge the last few weeks. We got 507 on them. Our all time record for CPU squashing, in case you are wondering.
Right now, nothing is safe. No lead insurmountable. No team flawless. This is where rivalries are made. The playoffs are where they are cemented in your memory. I am starting to develop hate-respect for many of you. Yes, especially Eden Sin. Our newest and now main rival. But Ironton and Sahara Sand Storm, I hate-respect you guys almost as much as xtian22 and his band of Sinners.
The rest of the season promises to be crazy in Lion. The Nigerians look tough. They could go undefeated in the conference, losing only to the Elephant Seychelles. But..... Any given Sunday something strange can happen.
