Since this hasn't been done yet, I thought I'd give it a shot...

Cranes (0-7) at Hippos (1-6)

Neither team is going anywhere this season, but the Hippos are at least trying. Hippos by 14.

Thrashers (1-6) at Food Mongers (6-1)

If the Thrashers were in an uncapped minor league, they'd be doning really well this season. Unfortunately for them, they are not. Food Mongers by 28.

Hermaphrodites (2-5) at Stallions (2-5)

The Hermaphrodites are struggling, but they get a break this week against a cpu team. Hermaphrodites by 21.

Ballaz (2-5) at Warriors (5-2)

On paper, the Ballaz should be one of the really competitive clubs this season. For some reason, that has not happened for them in competitive play. Warriors by 17.

Fire (0-7) at Breakers (6-1)

Breakers are one of the best teams in Elephant Conference this season and they play this week against one of the worst. Result? Breakers by 42.

Baggers (1-6) at Sting (7-0)

The Sting will retain their perfect record this week against a team that is probably already looking to next season by now. Sting by 35.

Unite (4-3) at Lions (5-2)

In one of the better games this week, we have two teams jockeying for playoff position. The Unite has struggled defensively this season while the Lions are still waiting for their passing game to click. A good game, but the Lions will pull it out by 7.

The Game Of The Week
Black Knights (6-1) at Paratroopers (6-1)

This is going to be a game everyone should watch. One team will keep a game behind from the Sting while the other team will fall two games back. I said the Black Knights were the top team in Elephant Conference this season and despite their one loss, I think they still are. Black Knights by 3.

Nice write-up! Covington is the class of the conference, IMO, it took a miracle for us(Sting) to pull that one out...I'm not sure we could repeat that feat. I hope we get a chance to try...

That having been said, there are still 4-5 tough teams(including yours) waiting in the weeds for us. It was critical for us to get off to a fast start with our back-loaded schedule.

Yup the Sting would have to play blindfolded not to beat the Baggers. We have been looking forward to next season since the start, as we are greatly under leveled. We will continue to battle every week, and hopefully surprise a few people. The team has performed admirably when giving up 20+ levels on most days, but the Sting is for real!

Thanks woofin. You guys out played us and should be the #1 team. We (Covington) are going to have too play well and put together solid game plans to win over the next few days. I will be very nervse playing these next few games. I have to admit, I do enjoy how competitive these games will be. So good luck to everyone. Thanks Peter for taking the time to do this. it's a good read and fun.

Well, this is the first time I've done this so either I underrated you guys or I overrated the Cranes.

That was closer than I expected, actually! Wrong thread, I know, but good game.

I was going to say, I can see that you all will be pretty good when your levels catch up, good game-planning over there. The stats/score kinda hide it, but as a DC I like what you were doing. A lot of it worked, but broken tackles and higher level WRs beat you. On offense you protected really well and got some plays completed, probably should have scored more..

Keep it going!

What city is in your avatar?

New Orleans, LA = NOLA. Where I grew up and I miss it, hence the screen name.

Been in Chicago the past several years. I like it too, but it can't replace NOLA. I guess unless you really hate where you grew up, nowhere else completely replaces it even if it's a great place in its own right.
