So...Alpha is quiet. I figure a little game by game preview could get some sort of talking going. Moving in a semi-random order...
Port Arthur (1-6) vs Australian Thunder (3-4)
Preseason, I thought the Thunder would make some noise in this conference. They opened up with two early wins, but have since been struggling, though that may be due more to tough opponents than their own games. This week, though, they meet a week Port Arthur, should get them back on track.
Suva Sparks (4-3) vs Pennsylvania Silver Knights (2-5)
Two of the more underleveled teams in the league...I know PSK is right out of 38 cap, Suva might be. Both teams farm for some solid organizations, but neither team is ready for prime time and won't be threats this season. Suva's got some levels on PSK, but I think the Knights pull this one out.
Siracusa Tigers (6-1) vs Moolaba Maulers (5-2)
Probably Alpha's game of the week. Both teams caught a hard time on their interconference matchup, but have looked pretty damn impressive since. Siracusa's run off 6 straight wins, while Moolaba's outright dominated everybody except Greenville. I think Moolaba's streak holds on this time, but in a tight match.
Piiko Jellys (2-5) vs Greenville Pirates (6-1)
Greenville's a great team. Piko, not so much. I'm predicting a win of 60ish.
Coral City Silver Sharks (3-4) vs Canberra Wolverines (4-3)
Canberra's about as shallow as a team can get while remanining semi-competitive. They've got just no depth. Not a way to win a league. Coral City, though, hasn't looked too good in any of their games. I think Canberra wins this one...it'll be close, but Canberra pulls it out and should end up as a playoff team.
Guam Tigers (5-2) over CPU
French Lick Dirty Whorns (1-6) over CPU
Three Mile Island Meltdowns (7-0) vs Sarajevo Traveling Donkey Shows (4-3)
Easily the longest names in the conference. I know some of the STDs, they build good dots. I know all of TMI. We build good dots. We've also got levels on them, and they have some issues. TMI wins.
