1. D'Haran Legion
Last season’s surprise just barely missed out on promotion to AAA. They were outleveled last year, but still were a force to be reckoned with, with impressive game planning. Won’t be surprising anyone this year, however, as they come in as the favorites. Destruction of the Tunnel Rats week 1 should have put everyone on notice.
2. OffTopica Miracle
Their roster has the second highest average level (59) in the conference and they haven’t lost in 19 games. They’ve had an easy start to the schedule, however, and have to prove they are better than the Legion. We could see two 14-0 teams going into an epic week 15 match-up. Still waiting to see a weakness in this team, but it’s hard to rate them higher in their first season in this league until they’ve really been tested. Probably won’t take a miracle to win this league though.
3. Oberon Bulls
Just made the play-offs last season, but currently have the highest average level (60) players on their roster. They have underperformed in the past and are probably the hardest team to accurately rank. More than a few inactives on their roster could prove a problem as could their lack of a real running game once again this season.
4. Honiara Pit Bulls
Just suffered their first loss in a close one to the Bulls in which they actually had more total yards than their opponent. If this team can keep turnovers in check, they could be a force to be reckoned with as they are tied for the second highest average level (59) on their roster as well. Been here a few seasons and know this league well.
5. Gold Coast Samurai
Tied with the Miracle for first in average level (60), but tough loss to the Raptors and small victory over Sierra Maestra Super Soldiers (who they outlevel by 19), shows this team has weaknesses. Also worrying that they have the least yards in the air of any non-CPU team.
6. Sierra Maestra Super Soldiers
This team is way outleveled and has had a tough start to the season facing some of the top teams. However, they beat Kiribati and barely lost to the Samurai, proving this team can game plan. Ignore at your own risk.
7. Sin City Silent Assassins
This team may be 0-4, but they have had just about as hard a start to the season as you can get. Haven’t yet seen what they are capable, but they put up an impressive fight against Dayton and were unlucky to lose. I think they have enough to make the play-offs.
8. Charlotte 49ers
Suffered their first loss this week, but have had an easy schedule otherwise. Could prove a lot with a win over the Sierra Maestra Super Soldiers on Wednesday, who they outlevel by 8. Number of inactives is worrying
On the verge: 9. Kiribati Boobie Bandits, 10. Newcastle Killer Bees, 11. Gensokyo Youkai
