Chris Dotinsworth: “I am here today with all conference FS Edward Earl Reed, coming off his third consecutive year with the #1 FS rank. In 4 seasons in AAA and Pro, Ed has accumulated 244 tackles, 35 sacks, 13 interceptions, and 106 pass deflections. Being only a season 3 player, some say his best is yet to come.”
Dotinsworth: “Edward, what do you think of that boastful WR, Freddie Mitchell?”
Reed: “All he does is talk. He's terrible, and you can print that. I’ll be happy when he is in the game.“
Dotinsworth: “When he is in the game?”
Reed: “Yeah, if he’s in the game, that means the game is pretty much over right? If he plays, and comes across the middle, I am going to smoke him like BBQ ribs. Hickory smoked. Print that.”
Dotinsworth: “Now, rumor has it that you don’t even start on your own team, what is up with that?”
Reed: “Well, Alex is a damn good FS, and I like coming off the bench, it helps me bring the element of surprise.”
Dotinsworth: “Ed, who is your favorite teammate on the Boston Dogs?”
Reed: “Well, I like everybody, but I guess I would say Krundle. He gets so many pancakes we opened an IHOP on the home sideline.”
Dotinsworth: “Okay, Ed, how would you rank the top teams in APL heading in to season 12?”
Reed: “Well, I suppose Doinitin Djibouti, and White Rhinos are #1 and 2 until proven otherwise. Grits is a solid #3. Somalia Pirates and the Seawolves round out the top 5. But don’t sleep on Ochocinco, or yours truly, the Boston Dogs over in Elephant. Woof!”
Dotinsworth: “Okay, final question, your alma mater is showing some signs of life so far, any comment?”
Reed: “It’s all about the U, baby.”
