Warrior General Games

While my teammates have been aware for 3 weeks, my family had an unexpected tragedy with the passing of someone who was really an integral part of our family. She died in her sleep of an aneurysm. I dropped off of everything, and I still cannot get into a game.

My teammates have been great. Nobody complained that we worked hard to get the the WL, and the owner goes AWOL, and I come to find out so did my new OC. Dan took over the offense, and hopefully the team had fun. We're looking for our postseason to continue.

Just so everyone knows, Dan will have the Longhorns going forward. All recruits, he's the reason we're here, and people like Tilly, Stobie, Gart, Hokie, etc. know that we've been decent over the seasons because of our defenses, and Dan's been great since he took over for another master (Tilly). He ran a great team in the Reading Redskins, and he'll keep Marblehead on top too. Note to recruits -- talk to Dan!!

But really, I wanted everyone to know why I was away. I got a couple of PMs wondering if I ran away because we lost a couple of games. No - it's the playoffs that matter. Shit, Drygerian couldn't even score a point on us -- Deathblade, we did figure out that defense, no?

While we tried to get out of CPL when we were promoted, I'm glad that's where we came out of. I'm glad I never lost to the lima beans. I'm glad we beat OTR in round one (there's some symmetry there - and I couldn't help the shot).

Mostly, I want to keep on IM with my friends. I look at folks like those mentioned before and add others like will, sooner steve and could go on forever. I won't.

Do what you gotta do Tex. You were a great addition to this game, but some things put the unimportance of the dots into perspective. I don't doubt that Dan will have Marblehead in a great position for you if you ever choose to return.

This game will always be here, right now its a time sink you obviously don't need. The thoughts of the Wolfpack are with you and your friends/family

Cant say we everr really got to talk except a little bit when you had som interest in my guy, but sorry to hear that man... One of the good owner in the game, great guy from what I saw so best wishes and hopefully your family makes it thru even tho it will never be the same...

Tex was/is the first supr srs dot guy that I still enjoyed talking to and joking around with. When they promoted to CPL they took some heat for their team website, but laughed it off perfectly. Many owners/teams would have got very defensive, causing a rift that would probably never have been healed.

Painmaker also comes to mind when typing the above statement, but I became more familiar with tex at an earlier point.
