Warrior General Games

Well here we are finally, last week to fight for a better seed or to get in the playoffs. Couple good games that have some playoff implications so let's get started.

Madmen vs. Eagles - Well this is definitely the top game this week as 2 of the top teams in the West go head to head for the #2 playoff seed. I guess it really doesn't make to much of difference as they'll most likely meet in the 2nd round but I digress. Madmen are coming off a very good showing against Raiders in a solid defensive struggle. They put some points on the board and shut down the Raiders scoring chances, what more could you ask for. Ealges are coming off a long stretch of sleepers so we'll see if they've taken the time to see what the Madmen have going on or if they just snoozed their way through. Even though the power rankings have Eagles ahead of the Madmen, Madmen are ranked higher in both Off. and Def. This should be a close game either way.

Pick: Madmen 21 - Eagles 13


Camaros vs. Raiders - Another game with some big time playoff mix ups. Either way may be tough for either team come playoffs. Winner will snatch the #4 seed with the loser taking the #5 insuring they will meet yet again the following week 1st round. Either way winner will face off with the #1 seed 2nd round.. We'll see what they do, either they're going to do everything they can on both sides to see what will and won't work, or they'll just basic AI this and save their plans for the playoffs. If they do both do what they can to win will be a good one. Raiders have been a little better on defense, but definitely give ground compared to the Camaros on the offensive side of the ball.

Pick: Camaros 14 - Raiders 10 (If they both try this game.)


Punishers vs. Bay Area - Here is a big time game out West. Winner will snag the #3 seed and avoid the Linces, if they make it that far until the conference finals while the loser will most likely face the Linces 2nd round of the playoffs. Punishers are coming off 2 straight loses, one rather unfortunate as the week after they played Creed the team basically cleared house and went CPU. Punishers are a good team all the same and will want to come in and win this one heading into the playoffs. Bay Area has had the luxury of having 5 CPU'ish teams in a row to prepare for this one. Again a decent team that is going to have to step up if they want to get the win. This one could really go either way. Neither team is very stellar on offense or defense, but they're not cakewalks either. I think Bay Area has a slight advantage on offense even though according to the power rankings Punishers are favored. Call it a hunch, but think Bay Area has the better chance to win this one.

1. GLB Headhunters - Surprise, surprise. Still the only undefeated team and still holding onto their #1 spot this week. GLB is basically just preparing for playoffs at this point and watching the rest fight it out to see who they'll play.

2. Marvelous Madmen - A bit of a shake up on the top as Madmen claw their way to #2. After a good showing against the Raiders and a solid defensive showing they get the nod. This is an important week for them though and a win will realy help here.

3. Easy Eagles - Eagles slip a spot but only because they've had a bit of an easy stretch and as it goes, what have you done for me lately. They're a great team all the same and will show what they're made of I'm guessing this week against the loonies.

4. Spaniard Linces - Much like GLB the Linces have their spot on top secured unless some dire happens this week. They've shown all season what they're capable of and go into the playoffs at full steam.

5. Tennessee Crabs - These guys have really been stepping it up lately plowing through anyone that gets in their way. They definitely look primed for the playoffs and have the fortune of being on the other side of the bracket from Linces which will give them even more time to prep.

6. Chevy Camaros - All season the Camaros have quietly gone about their business and find themselves in a good spot to finish the season. Win or lose this week they're going to face-off with Raiders again next week so we'll see what happens. Their offense is potent and defense has been stepping up and playing just as well.

7. California Raiders - They fall a spot after a tough loss to the Madmen in which they were kept off the scoreboard. Again, they'll face Camaros again next week so we'll see what they do this week. They're a solid team though and could make a run in the playoffs.

8. Bay Area - These guys are still a bit of a mystery but can be good. They had a very close game with some window licking helmet wearers last week which is a bit shocking to be honest, but they did beat Creed before the mass exodus. They may be in trouble though come playoffs.

9. Manhattan Punishers - Well they hold their spot but have definitely proven what I thought all along, they were granted a schedule that let them sleep through the 1st half and really it brought it to them the 2nd half. They are a good team, but really need to step it up in the playoffs if they want any chance of sticking around.

10. Lismore Limpers - Well well well, we have a new face on our list thanks to the Creed collapse. The Limpers are a decent team that still seems to be learning the PW ropes. I don't see them lasting long come playoffs as they're just not at the same level yet as some of our top tier teams but watch out next season if they stay together.

prediction. camaros beat raiders by 20+ as long as they do not boost

Well looks like I was pretty close on my predictions(hell almost had Pun/Bay dead on), though as cone said they put up a bit more then I thought. Solid D btw guys limiting them on the ground very well. I thought Madmen/Eagles would be closer, but Eagles may have been saving their real juice for when it counts.
