Sorry I've missed the last couple of weeks guys, you know how it goes. Man you guys sure do let the forums go in the pooper without me! I figured I would do a little something different this time. Just a little talk about the teams in the playoff hunt.

LION:

Johannesburg Jackals: Current seed (1), Predicted seed (1).
The Jackals are the last undefeated team in the league, and face off against the Platypi next. Thanks to Zulu giving TND their 2nd loss, all the Jackals have to do is win either the PTT game, or the TND game to secure the top spot. I think that happens.

The Nile Denial: Current seed (2), Predicted (2)
TND has a one game lead on AP, but AP has the tie breaker. If TND wins out, they get the 2nd seed. If they don't, they get the 3rd. Its as simple as that. I think they win out, and take the 2nd spot.

Answer Please: Current seed (3), Predicted (3)
Answer Please are sitting pretty. They have a one game lead on the 9-4 pack, but they won't lose another game the rest of the regular season. They will be pretty big Jackals fans come week #16, but in the end, all they can do is hope. They take the 3rd spot.

Rwanda Headhunters: Current seed (4), Predicted (4)
The Headhunters have a couple of tough games left, (Dryden, CTUSA) but I think they win them both. They should end the season 12-4, and tied for the 4th seed. They make it in due to a tie breaker. (Head to head)

PTT Rebels: Current seed (5), Predicted (6)
PTT plays CTUSA, JJ, and BoB to close out the season. I think they win 2 of 3, and end the season at 11-5, tied for the 6th spot. Just like the Headhunters, they get the 6 by a head to head tie breaker. If they lose 2 of 3, they would drop to 7.

Zulu Death Warriors: Current seed (6), Predicted (5)
Zulu has played some very good football lately with nice wins against TND and AP. They only have one tough game left, and that's week 16 against Dryden. Plenty of time to plan means they win, finish 12-4, and lose out on the 4th spot due to a loss to the Headhunters earlier in the season.

Dryden Blue Balls: Current seed (7), Predicted (8)
The Blue Balls have the toughest schedule left of any of the playoff teams. They play the Headhunters, War Elephants, and Zulu. That's a tough stretch. They are capable of winning any/all of these games. No one has been more impressed by Blue Balls than I have, but I'm going out on a limb and predicting an o fer, for the rest of the season. That puts them at 9-7, and in by a tie breaker.

Carthaginian War Elephants: Current seed (8), Predicted (7)
CWE has only one tough game left, and that's a week 15 match up with Dryden. They really need to win that one, so I'm sure they're going to put in some extra game planning time. I wouldn't even be surprised if they token boosted. In the end, I think they win out, finish at 11-5, and take the 7th seed due to an earlier loss to PTT

CollegeTown USA: Current seed (9), Predicted (9)
CTUSA has a couple of big games left. PTT this week, and Rwanda week 16. They need to win one of these to have a shot at the playoffs. I just don't think they will quite get it done. Nice first season in AAA, but I'm predicting they end it on the outside looking in.

ELEPHANT:

Blood Diamond Marauders: Current seed (1), Predicted (1)
They have a pretty easy schedule to close out the season, and don't have much problem finishing the season at 15-1

Mamelodi Night Runners: Current seed (2), Predicted (2)
MNR has only one tough game left, against SS. I don't see them losing that, nor do I see them dropping below the 2rd seed. (sorry RR). They finish at 14-2.

Rhodesia Ratels: Current seed (3), Predicted (3)
RR has only a game against the Presidents left to worry about, but really that isn't much of a worry. They close out the season with 3 wins, and end at 14-2. They take the 3rd seed to to a head to head loss to MNR. Oh, and Jessica Landry.

Choctaw Cracker Party: Current seed (4), Predicted (4)
CCP has no tough games left, and shouldn't have a problem ending the season at 13-3. Very nice season guys.

Swaziland Semnikati: Current seed (5), Predicted (5)
Swaziland has a game against MNR still to come, and I don't see them winning it. They should win 2 out of 3 though, and will finish the season at 11-5. SS will take the 5th seed due to a head to head tie breaker.

River Styx Jinx: Current seed (6), Predicted (8)
RSJ is having a solid season, but they do have a couple of tough games left. They square off against the presidents this week, and TA in week # 16. I think they win one of these 2 games (against CP), and finish the season at 10-6. They will drop to the 8th seed due to a head to head loss.

Seychelles Sabercats Current seed (7), Predicted (6)
SS are coming off a big upset of MNR. They are playing very good football right now. (I wouldn't want to play them in the first round) They don't have any tough games remaining, and should finish the season at 11-5. They will have the 6th seed due to an earlier loss to the other SS.

Corrupted Presidents Current seed (8), Predicted (9)
The Presidents just have such a tough schedule left. I think they have to win 2 of their remaining games against RSJ, BDM, and RR to make the playoffs, and I just don't see that happening. In fact, I don't think they win any of them. I predict they finish the season at 8-8, and are watching the playoffs from their couches.

Teikoku Alexanders: Current seed (9), Predicted (7)
TA is on a roll right now, and look to have hit their stride at just the right time. They have a couple of tough ones left, specifically week 16 against RSJ. IMO they don't need to win out to make the playoffs, but I think they will anyways. They will finish the season at 10-6, and will take the 7th spot due to beating RSJ in that week 16 game. They will also scare MNR a little bit going into the playoffs.

Good luck to all the teams down the stretch. It should be a fun run to watch!

I really only know Lion.

1] The Nile Denial ... they should finish the Regular Season in the top spot
2] There should be a ton of shuffling between the next 4 teams: PTT Rebels, Johannesburg Jackals, Somalia Shango and Rwanda Headhunters
3] The playoffs should round out with the next 3 teams: CollegeTown USA, Carthaginian War Elephants and Answer Please

Its looking like a real strong Conference and the parity should make for some great games and drama.

Not bad since this was posted before the final recruiting was done. Answer Please brought on some higher levels, Shango threw a curve into the mix and both Zulu and Balls have been impressive. FWIW, this has been the most competitive League/Conference I have played in.

we're hoping to not lose the remaining games but RSJ aren't weak and SSBM can't be overlooked either, hopefully we don't break our rhythm anytime soon, thanx for the write up

Big win by the Balls this week. Way to go guys! I swear that this is the deepest league I can remember playing in. So many great teams, its a shame that one has to miss the playoffs.

Too bad you guys are screwing up the curve Any team from 2-9 can beat each other on any given day.

LOL thanks SD, but that would be any team 1-9. The Jackals are good, but we've had our fair share of luck as well. We play PTT, then TND to close out the season. I predict that we will lose at least one of those games.

Yeah, this is probably the deepest league I've been in since CPL's heyday.

How the fuck do we beat MNR then lose to the 11th seeded team? GLB is so freaking random it's retarded.
