1st Up: Samoa Gangsters

Samoa has taken care of everyone I thought they would take care of, but losing pretty big against the top tier teams. Jellybirds are good, no doubt, but they've had it pretty easy with their schedule besides playing the Tigers a few games in. Sydney's game against the Foxes was a big surprise to me though, and they pulled off a win with poor chemistry. I think Jellybirds takes this one with a late FG, 27-24.

2nd Up: Kingston Uprising

No easy task I'm afraid as Kingston is playing like themselves again. Closer games than expected against some what I would consider weaker competition leaves this game open to question, but I don't think the Jellybird defense will hold up against this relentless rushing attack. Kingston rises above, 42-21.

3rd Up: Guadalcanal Gunners

If there was any team that I would NOT want to end the season with, it's the Gunners. Good thing they have full chem before this game or it would have been much worse. JB and the crew use this one as a playoff practice and take it 55-10.

Sydney Jellybirds end season 1-2, land in 4th spot for the playoffs.

Good Luck Guys Polished, IU and crew....tough games ahead !!

Gunners have a history of playing both Sydney's close but poorly so it might be a trap game for us.

Yes indeed, the Jellybirds have one Hell of a test to end this season.
Thanks for the writeup, Neo. We've got our work cut out for us. Time to separate the contenders from the pretenders.

Nice write up Neo.
The schedule pushed most of the heavy lifting to the very end of the season. Aside from catching the Tigers early, and the FFs and Atlantis not long after, I have to say the schedule has been generally friendly to us by allowing us to regain our Chem before letting the Gangsters, Uprising and Gunners lose on us.

And it's been a Pelican/Gunner tradition almost to play the last game of the season. We've had some good ones but yeah, the Gunners are looking better than ever this season.

Damn, was it ever! I love seeing 2 great teams going toe-to-toe like that. One of those games where the result isn't what we liked, but I'm still satisfied that the game was that kind of quality. Very well played, Kingston. If we can upset Guadalcanal, we might just have to meet again.

Great game guys, you came so close to breaking the last play for the go ahead TD. Gotta respect a battle until the very end. Good luck the rest of the way!

This last game coming up means a lot. Birds win and they secure the second seed, they lose and they fall to 4.
