I am happy that people do these but to take stock in them is foolish.

Seeing my team at number 5 and being happy about it doesnt mean im going to try any less hard than i do now. Its just nice seeing my name near the top.

Just like those players that want to be the starter even when the energy settings are set to split carries or split plays..the only difference is your name in the lights. Its just fun, but it dont mean shit really. The actual standings are the only thing that means anything.

People always say this when they aren't near the top.

Personally, I'm encouraged that BCP is at the top for the last two weeks.

In season two, my original team held one of the top two spots for most of the season in USA A2. Teams were incensed that we were there, since we lost a game to a team that was ranked lower than we were.

We went on to win a league championship.

That said, I wouldn't consider BCP the favorite to win it all this season, let alone represent Lion in the championship game, but we're going to do our best and hope some of these other teams lose a little, from player plateaus.

My Generals team used to be in AAA and we were on the top of the Rankings and we didn't even make the playoffs. Has nothing to do with not being on the top. Has something to do with reality.

The later you go into the season the more meaningful the rankings are. I assume you are talking about preseason rankings, because I can't see anyway you'd be at the top of the rankings week 13 and not make the playoffs.

I had a team that was ranked #1 from the preseason and went 8-8, missing out on the playoffs.

It was preseason but like I said, fun to look at but placing stock in rankings is like saying your team is going to the Superbowl after winning their opening game. LoL

I appreciate these rankings also. They are always fun to make sure that we create game plans to ensure we get ranked highly.
