Hey guys, I know there are better choices for VAs for a Center. I was just curious how often a good Center can get to the second level and make a block on a LB or Safety. Any input?

Successful inside runs often end up with the Guards on the DTs and the C going directly for the MLB. Beyond that, not often...

I like it for Gs. If the Gs around you can hold their blocks it makes it easier for your C to seek out players to block. If not your C will end up double teaming a DT or NT.

My C hits a MLB or safety a few times per game. The question is, how much is downfield blocker really helping him there, if he had it? Probably not much.. Maybe help you reach one or two extra downfield blocks due to the speed bonus per season, but the whole bonus to blocking etc is not needed. Blocking a LB or safety is easy enough with the stats you already have.

For this logic, I'd say it's not a good investment at the C position.

I'm sure your right. Put some points into Natural Leader instead.
