Many weeks passed before those pesky Germans showed us what defending was about, Hamburg Lightning the first of that city's teams to slap us in the face with a rubber Bratwurst.
Demoralised we were then mauled by some Madrilenne Tigers and set alight by some Mancunian Fire. Luckily we got back on our chewed and blistered feet to save face and our season before the obligatory loss to the Panthers. Where IS "Permia" by the way? Or is it "Permi"?
A successful Whale hunt led to a secured playoff berth which was lucky as we had a disappointing (but enlightening) visit back to Hamburg before losing again to the teutonic Sentinels from Frankfurt. Drat those pesky Germans!
So well done GRD*, Hamburg, Madrid*, Manchester, Permi(a)*, Hamburg & Frankfurt, we couldn't have done it without you!
